One of my wife's friends mentioned to her that she watched it a few years ago, then without me knowing, my wife watched a couple of episodes on her own before telling me. We then watched all of the old episodes on catchup and kept watching as new episodes premiered, though we nearly always record them so we can fast forward through adverts. There are some truly bizarre people on the UK version and some you wouldn't want to know in RL, in amongst the normal people and those just looking for 5 minutes of fame or a quick fuck. There have been several couples who have made it beyond the first few dates in the UK and (from memory) at least one couple got engaged, so may be married by now.
