I particularly remember 1971 as having about 2" - 3" of new snow. Nicky's SnoTric was throwing sparks from the ski skegs scooting down the streets. Plus, we got into a disagreement with an Anchorage cop. He didn't like a 60" carbon arc searchlight spotlighting his car.
