Max was already eating before the man named Smith even left the room. She nearly melted at the taste of brown bread and butter. The eggs and bacon were making her salivate. It was glorious after so many years of doing without. If she was meant to be a prisoner in that beautiful town home with this food, she would gladly stay put.
Max glanced towards Alex as he looked at the food in frustration. She couldn't help the small laugh that left her lips as she buttered a piece of toast and stuck it into his mouth.
"You want something else, just let me know." She gave him a grin then, laughing slightly as they started to feast.
