looking for a second opinion.

I had one person look at my 1st chapter in the non-human category (you don't meet any of them in ch 1.).

I made a couple of changes based on their opinion but a couple of suggestions I felt would change the direction I was going. Maybe this was my fault. I didn't write clearly enough so they couldn't get a handle on the characters I was trying to develop.

A second opinion would be helpful.
