Wow! hot stuff indeed!

The photos are quite nice too. ;)

LOL, Steve, I KNEW you'd be a big The Big Lebowski fan! That truly is a great movie, eh?
Blond thug holding up bowling ball: "What the F is this?"
The Dude: "Obviously you're not a golfer."
:D

OMG, Willie, you have GOT to watch it.

TX - I really want to see The Hobbit as when I went to see it in the cinema, halfway through someone small who had begged to be taken along, got scared and had to be taken out, so I've still only seen half of it. The Bear says he reads The Hobbit in different regional accents, a rendition I'm still eagerly hoping to hear one day.
:rose:

Yeah, I've had The Dude as my FB pic on more than one occasion, too...

"It's this rug I had. It really tied the room together." :D

Damned good, those pics.

I know how to stoke flames, Duchess. ;)

Glad you liked the pics. The photos were 10 second exposures. My flatscreen TV was on off camera (no picture, backlight only) to provide some ambient lighting. I used a butane fireplace starter and held down the switch halfway for 20-45 seconds to fill the glass with butane vapors. During the shot, I lit the starter and put the flame into the glass. The results are self explanatory. :D

They are really  hot pics. How do they look when they're lined up? Do they make a nice triptych?

Yo, Steve, you have a Kitchenaid mixer that ties the room together! :D That is way  compared to a rug. LOL. I mean, the Dude is hilarious! but you cook.

Have you guys seen Hot Fuzz? That's a hilarious film although maybe the humour is a bit British. Y'know, John, I wonder if you'd like Tears of the Black Tiger - totally off-topic. It's a wild Thai movie with the most extraordinary cinematography. They touched up the colours in it and it has this bizarrely beautiful effect.

I love Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the Dead, and Paul. Simon Pegg is an awesome actor and Nick Frost is damn funny too. I have not seen Tears of the Black Tiger, but I'll have to give it a look.

Finally got some real writing done tonight and can hopefully get this chapter done. Off to bed for me. Goodnight all. :)

Night night, John! TGIF tomorrow for you, today for us.

I haven't seen Shawn of the Dead or Paul. I should check them out. Take a look at Tears of the BT. It's so off the wall! I love it, although I grew up a bit in Bangkok so Asian cinema may be a bit more my thing than other people's.

Hooray for the writing achievement! Well done on that.

Shaun... is my favourite zombie flick, but then i'm a huge fan of Spaced. Hot Fuzz I found disappointing, but probably inlet because Shaun... was an impossible act to follow.

" Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil -"Sorry." - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?"

Oh, and it's Chips Friday... :D

OK, Shaun is on my list. I feel confident one of my 'normal' life friends will have it to lend to me. (When I say 'normal' I mean people who look normal until you see them sniggering in a corner of the schoolyard with me while we wait for our kids.)

Wasn't it Chips Monday? And Wednesday? Ah, but you have your huggability to maintain. :)
<hug>

Parts of Illinois are declared a disaster area after as much as 10 inches of rain fell. The sump pump under my house has been running non-stop for two days and roads are under water. Welcome to spring.

I'd hug you, but we haven't been formally introduced. Mainly because I've been keeping a low profile since I knocked your hot tub through the wall... But you have my sympathies... :)

This is not unusual for here. We all know living in the river bottoms is done at our own risk. Last year was a drought that put a serious dent in the world's food supply. This year, fields to be planted are under water. It's the way of things.

But thanks for your support. Oh, and the workmen should be done with the hot tub soon. I have to say, the looks on their faces were priceless when I told them they had to do their work in the buff. :D

Sorry Molly. My sympathies with you and yours.
:rose:

BTW I'll just take a cup of tea and some biscuits through to those poor workmen. They must be thirsty.

Yeah, I bet you felt terrible about enforcing the dress code...

Damn allergies.

Buscemi's best quote (from Armageddon): "Because I'm a genius." ;)
Buscemi had all the best lines in that movie.

Good, yes, but too long... (Which is also what she said last night... Gawd, I'm on a roll... :D)
Thank you!!

Oh, erm, "The Hobbit" does NOT need to be three movies. Yes, we're agreed.

Really great shots there, john.

On a side note, we have a toy called "Jack Frost." The first party I went to as a guest, you should have seen the look of pure shock on one of my friends when she held it and the shaft started rotating crazily in her hands.

Yeah, good job with the writing! Maybe it'll inspire me to move on with my own writing....

Ooh, I hope the rains stop soon! Flooding is never good. We can have Rolf and Olaf start filling sandbags if you need. :)

Ok, Molly's had the hot tub fixed... Hey, come to think of it, I haven't seen her or those poor red-cheeked workmen for a couple of hours. Hmmm...

Anyhoo, the highlights of my day have been researching the school colours for fictional educational establishments and tracking down the best value supplier of fake dogshit, so I'm about ready to do some serious unwinding...

Can anyone else hear that...? Sounds like a man begging for mercy... No? Oh well, never mind.

Olaf! A pint of Guinness, please! I'll take it in the hot tub...

Seriously, it's definitely a man, pleading... I can't quite make it out. Something about no more holly...?

Weird.

Anyway, last one in's a nakey rotten tomato!

*SPLOOOOSH*

Mercy? Hmm, yeah, I think I can just hear that.

*sits on the edge of the hot tub, just behind steve* So, tough day? *kneading tense shoulders*

Hey all! is the hot tub out? I could certainly do with unwinding tonight. Olaf! Lagavulin please, and make that a double. *slides in beside anna and Steve*.

Ummm. Yeah, it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it. Those plastic dogturds don't just find themselves, y'know...

Allergies still playing up, sweetie?

Hey, you got any of those leftovers left... over? I could eat me a hoss right now... :D

Hey there Naoko. :) Any fun plans for the weekend?

Plastic dogturds? Sounds like something a theatre buddy back home would have in stock.

Yeah, my allergies are always acting up. With lots of rain and falling temperatures this weekend, I'm anticipating that they won't be going anywhere too quickly.

I've got lots of leftovers. In fact, I was about to heat some up. Chicken korma and rice, or some of a nifty salmon loaf, or both?

<drool> Chicken korma sounds heavenly. Thanks, hon. Save the salmon loaf for Bear.

Hey Naoko. Whassup? :)

Hullo guys, just let me snug here in the warm. (I am very cross tonight, don't ask, just tell me jokes and make me splurt my Lagavulin through my nose. *ouch!*)

I'm making sausage and mash for tea. Mmmmm! The specialist sausage butcher are doing a new type: Thai sausages. Sound interesting.

South-central Texas is a magnet for flash floods, too. When Secret and I were looking for a house, she didn't understand why I insisted we find one on a hill. After last fall, now she knows. ;)

...I'll take it in the hot tub...

Y'know, I remember my wife telling me something very similar not too long ago . . .

Hey, naked dudes and dudettes. ;)

Dude, I promise you. Olaf and I are just good friends... <patented innocent look>

Good morning naked peeps. Soooo ready for the weekend. Just got to make it through one more day, right? Oh, thanks for fixing the tub,Molly. Maybe it will help with my headache this morning.

*slips into the tub, finding a folded towel to rest my head on.*

LOL, I just popped into Arabic Chick and Bear had been there. He said he was taking his warrior terrier for a walk to cool down. Don't look at me, it's TxRad's fault. He apologised for posting hot chicks in there so I just had to post a few more to show him I didn't mind.
