Hello my beautiful flower
Well, at least a lazy Saturday
Ha! Says you. I've been working my butt off. I'm resting now after a lovely dinner.
You should come spend time with me ... it's been such a lazy day, I'm still in my jammies
Lucky you!
I'm back in jammies, after my bath. I'm still cleaning house.
You can come clean my house...
in your jammies if you'd like
Sorry, hon, that french maid uniform is just a costume. I'm a rotten housekeeper.
That's OK ... I'm not that worried about the cleaning
If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing right!
I feel the same way.
Maybe we just have different jobs in mind
I may need to see the work description...
I'm sure we can come up with something you'll be satisfied with
As long as I get Sundays off....
The ribs were fabulous, slow-cooked to perfection. Fried potatoes with onion were the only way to go. Fresh pineapple, served chilled added a sweet bit of zest. The vegetable was a medley of corn, okra and tomatoes, simmered with bits of bacon. In all it was a delicious meal, but I don't think it was on my diet.
OK, Sunday is your day to get off
OK, Sunday is your day to get off
Off to the gym with you then young lady
Okay. We'll discuss compensation later.
Sounds like a deal, in principle...
When do I expect your arrival?
Snerk. Not tonight. Too full.
I have to take the uniform in....I'll send you details.
I'll anxiously await your note

Anything particular in mind?Noted.
Anybody want to watch a movie or play a game tonight?
That sounds good. As soon as HM gets home we're having braised pork hocks with sun-dried tomatoes in a sour cream and dried onion gravy, pinto beans with bacon and a big, complex salad. I just took delivery on a pair of new cookbooks by Thomas Keller, acknowledged as America's (and possibly the world's) best chef. One is called Ad Hoc at Home and it's how to raise your family's meals to the highest level with nothing really fancy in the way of ingredients. I am embarking on how to make the world's best roast chicken. This is going to be fun!
