We All Die Young - The Decemberists

:rose:

Done with my saxophone, time for something different. The newly released album from The Decemberists.

One - Johnny Cash

Never heard of the guy but it popped up in my playlist and it's really got into my head. I did look him up.....

Eek! You live in...? and have never heard of...? I truly fear for your safety if you admit that in public, dear lady.

As to Cash being just a "cover artist', consider the following (just scraping the surface):
  • 17 Grammy awards
  • Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
  • Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame
  • Gospel Hall of Fame
  • Rockabilly Hall of Fame
  • Country Music Hall of Fame
  • Kennedy Center Honors (lifetime contributions)
  • US National Medal of Arts
  • dozens of other awards, countless nominations

He could have done all that covering people, right?

According to This Site

He wrote/co-wrote 94 songs, performed 129 originals, covered 385 songs and was covered close to or just over 700 times by other artists on songs he wrote (I lost count).
