"Italians should start to have babies again" says Matteo Salvini

Anything strange with this statement? Issue here is that yet AGAIN racist, left wing politicians from BeNeLux - just because they are henchmen of France and Germany - feels the need to attack other, bigger countries.
 
More people mean that there is less of everything good to go around. A low birth rate is beneficial. So is little or no immigration.
 
And Norwegians too. Norwegians should have more babies. Trump likes Norwegians.

What does any of that have to do with the Italian birthrate?
 
Italy is dealing with far more immigrants than most other EU countries. They haven't got the resources to cope with a continual influx, nor have Greece and Spain.

The EU has frequently promised to help and to have a Europe-wide policy on immigration. It has been all talk and no action and Italy is pissed off.

The Italian military is pissed at Salvini because of his inhumane treatment of refugees. The austerity bullshit of various right wing and/or neoliberal governments has screwed up a lot of Europe. This was known back in 2012 (and before that if you asked fucking FDR) but it's easier to blame people feeling violence and famine instead.
