Sailor's Cove, A New Achorage

Ya know I've lived half my life down here & never been on a sail boat ever.
The only boat I've been out on was one of those big fishing things that take tourists out

You really should Starry. There is nothing like a sailboat. Once you get out in the water... Propelled by the wind...just the sound of the wind in the sails sharply rustling and the water against the hull. The spray in your face but really... It's quiet... No motor.
And little spurts of frenetic activity as the boom comes round as the captain turns the wheel and someone has to crank on the sheet to tighten it again.
But sleeping on board at night at anchor... In a little cove in a remote coast...some of the best sleep ever.
True dark nights. The boat rocking gently. And the stars!!!

Being out on the water - and under it too! - is great! It shouldn't be hard to find someone to take you out down there.

I've got this seasickness thing, otherwise...

Hello Cove! :)

Hello Cove! :)

No wonder rough water is so hard on you. :rose:
I have heard some not so funny stories about marine biologists who have near debilitating sea-sickness.

There is nothing funny about being seasick. I do manage to control it with the patch though. :)

This is why I said not-so- funny...
Really the right word is ironic.
And the patch is a God send for sea-sickness.

My brother is a marine biologist... Spends weeks at a time at sea.

Yeah, think I might have missed my calling. I used to love any show about diving, and we watch any show about underwater. I'd love to work with dolphins.

Yup, if it wasn't for the patch and/or dramamine, diving would be just a dream. OK, you can dive from shore a lot of places, but the majority of sites need to be accessed by boat.

Yup! Real life certainly did!

But good stuff! Watching my daughter graduate from college!

My travel schedule this month has been crazy! And it's not letting up yet.

I'll be back, and thanks to everyone who stops by. I do love seeing your posts!
