Can anyone help us out? ? ?

My daughter has this puzzle to solve to earn extra credit at school. We've tried and tried and yeppers...tried some more. NOTHING!!!

Click the link and it will take you to the puzzle. I redid it in PaintShop. :D

It's 9 Squares across and 9 Down. Zoom in if you don't see all the lines to make up the grid. :D

Good luck!!!

Well I think you'd have to start with March in the upper left cause it's the only thing with an H, going down. Then April underneath. May goes at the bottom starting at the M already in place.

Not sure but that would be my first approach. Lemme think about it more.

ETA: Ooh, I just noticed you bolded lines. Nevermind, I'll reconsider.

March still needs to go with the H though.

Sounds like a plan.:D

I just have to show her how to start it. That way when she turns it in, she can show how we came up with it. :D

Thanks bunches.

The teacher doesn't expect anyone to come up with the answer!

The key to the puzzle is the way we think. We read left to right and expect the letters in a word to follow a linear pattern.

What grade is your daughter in?

god dammit I almost had it too!
 Thanks for trying. *huggggsssss*

She's a freshman. I will tell her to be honest and explain it was a group effort which expanded to her mom's web friends. :D

DGO - ya big show off!!! ;)

Seriously, nicely done. I was trying to solve it like a regular Sudoku puzzle. At least now I can sleep, else it woulda made me crazy!!!

I had a lot of students who got help with homework. It never bothered me unless the parent did the entire project or the report. One mother told me that she never helped her kid with my assignments because they were too bizarre. (that wasn't true, of course)
