If you're truly interested in finding someone to talk to or even meet up with, it might be a good idea to tone down your posts a little. Write about your interest on a little more general level, it doesn't have to get quite so descriptive. Part of the reason for general skepticism both of subject and of motive for posting is that lit really does have a big population of people with very specific fetishes who are really only looking for a wall to bounce them off. The thing is that being that wall isn't really interesting for people who don't share the fetish - it's not something that gets them off too, and there's very little hope of expanding the conversation beyond it, so it feels like being used anonymously for gratification, and not in the good way.

Not sure if you're talking about anyone specific?? But around these parts, there is a certain someone who always posts in the third person. At first glance, I was with you - it kinda puts me off, too.
