I did not lump the 2590 gunfire deaths with cancer or any other cause. However, I did spot a typo in my post. My post stated that .00035 of children died from gunfire. I left out a zero. The correct figure is .000035. To your question of how many were homicides, the figure is 1554 which works out to .00002 of the US child population.
