O Lordy what a mess we are in! I’m so glad I’m a soldier of the Queen and not a soldier of Parliament. ​

Governments both sides of the ocean seem to be a bit in a spin. Well the good thing is you have a beautiful daughter and things, will, in time work out. I of course will not be paid as The U S Coast Guard is not under the department of Defense. I guess active duty Coast Guard and retired members are not veterans or in need of pay.

O I’ve finally met my Waterloo CG, i know when I’m beaten, I surrender unconditionally to the needs of the Princess that God has given me. Rick got up for her last night insisting I take as much rest as I need. She’s a real daddy’s girl.

I’m feeling fine now and I hope to take Xena with me next week to the pool for a ‘mother and new born’ swimming class. We won’t go in the water yet but it gets her used to the atmosphere.

I’m also back to the gym next week to begin getting my body back into shape for the army but above all for my husband.

Cait I miss the snow. Out here in the Pacific Northwest we really don't have snow unless your in the Mountains. So no skiing for me this year.

You will find the Inn has a pretty friendly group of people. There is plenty of seating, stools at the bar and comfortable chairs in front of the fireplace. Do be careful when sitting, sometimes Badger sticks a bottle or two down the sides of the chairs.

We have SUN!!!! For the first time in over a week. I had forgotten what a blue sky looked like. No rain in the ten day forecast, although that could change.

Electrician coming tomorrow to put in some canned lighting in the main room. I can't wait. I know I am a hermit, but I don't do well living in the dark interior of a cave. All I want to do is stay under the blanket and sleep all day. It is weird when I can see bright sunlight out the windows but I can't see the letters on the keyboard inside. The only down side is that he wants to be here at 9 am. That is morning, you know I don't do mornings.
