You're really so proud of who you are - your smarts, your looks, your success....

(as I am)......

In that case.....

Aren't you prejudice?

I'm smart, tall, thin, in good shape - white (god I'm glad I was born white) - blue eyed, smart, I've done well professionally, people like me, family love me, I've got a real good sence of humor - I'm smart, I'm smart-assed - I've got a great ass, I'm sports minded and perform sports well - did I mention that I'm smart?

You see - I think that I would not want to be anyone else. I love my life. I love how I was born into it.

Have I "lucked out?" Sure - I would guess so. But I've put some work into this life too.

So you see "I would not want to be anyone else." I'm happy the way I am. I'm proud about the way I am.

I would "hate" to be "anyone" else.

So, therefore - I "must be prejudice!"

Right?

Aren't we all?

If you were somebody else - you'd hate to be you...

(by your arguement at least)

If you're truly happy with your life does it really matter what other people think?

Kind of bizarre thread:D

All of us are proud of our achievements no matter how large or small. We are all loved by some people, we all have successes to one degree or another.
Why are you different and why does your personal experience make you prejudiced?

Just wondered

Edited for spelling:rolleyes:

Oh! I so agree.......

everyone else - and I mean "everyone" - is, by degree - an idiot to me.

No exceptions. My wife, my kids, my family, all dumber than I.

I love me. But I'm subtle about it. I'm cool. Can't let "them" know how I feel. I tell them they're great, smart, what-ever.......

Only I know the truth.

Haaaaaaaaaa!

Funny - why am I not remotely concerned by that, Sparks?

LOL

You are truly a warped individual - keep up the good work and don't forget your medication;)

That's what everyone says!!!!!

But I am pretty much (lately) one clean Marine.

It's the thought that counts though.

Well old chap I've enjoyed the banter must go catch a few Zs.

Stay away from sharp objects but remember you can still bludgeon someone to death with something heavy and blunt like.......your wit:D

Ciao!

VanB, all of Sparky's threads are bizarre. It's the nature of the beast.

As glad as you are that you were born white, Sparks, I'm twice as glad that I wasn't. :) My tan doesn't fade, I don't sunburn, I'm less likely to get melanoma. The advantages of minority.

I wouldn't want to be anyone else.

But all in all, this is a ridiculous thread. You have two options. 1) I love myself, therefore I'm arrogant. 2) I don't love myself. I have no self-esteem.

It's a loaded and trick question where there is a "right" answer and if it's not your "right" answer, then you're a schmuck.

Strange question, kind of. But strangely honest in a way too, I believe. Has anyone ever really doubted their own intelligence before someone else's, when you disagreed and couldn't see their reasoning?
I know that I, for one, often pretend to be deficient in self-esteem, even to myself, so that others tend to try to build me up instead of tearing me down.

It is not a trick question.......

"this question" is - the question that makes the world go round.

This question "is" life.

The very fact that there is "no right answer" is what makes it so.

You see? You don't?

You're an idiot.

You mean, any sentient organism that doesn't consider itself the fittest is thereby handicapped, fitness-wise? It's still only part of the "answer" of perfect fitness, though.

Yes.

Superiority! In mental form, is the end all and be all of all things, all things human. Regardless of being actually true or not.

Without it - any human is weak. Less than any other. They can't help it you see.

True or not. Fact or not.

The advantage of any human feeling superior to any other (and therefore prejudice) is great. The consequent is true - weakness is scene, smelled and tasted by all rival humans and the effect will always be negative.

Look at the Jews marching into ovens. Weak! Destined to be weak. Heads slung low. Inferiority running rampant among them.

I don't know about you Sparky, but if I had some crazy motherfucker who would probably get a hard-on by killing me holding a machine gun on me.. I'd probably go along with whatever he told me to do. Especially if I'd already been degraded by losing everything I owned, to the point of having my teeth with gold fillings torn out and my head shaved, then forced to move into a concentration camp. And frankly, so would you my superior friend.

I have to do this every day ...

<Smiling at my reflection in the mirror> ...

...and because
I'm good enough
I'm smart enough
and doggone it
people like me...

So...let me see if I've got this straight...I really want to know how the dark recesses of an idiot's mind works...

By your logic, blacks are weak because they just couldn't manage to throw off that 'ol mantle of slavery. Probably cause they're so shiftless and lazy.

And the Cambodians under Pol Pot...six or seven million of them wouldn't have had to die, if they'd just been a little more sure of themselves.

What about the millions that Stalin killed? Obviously all victims of low self-esteem, right?

It's so refreshing to hear your views Spark. I think next time I want to hear something more intelligent than your crap, I'll turn on a Ren & Stimpy re-run.

What a bonehead. You should really stick to talking about bowel movements and throwing up. It's what you're good at.

So, some of you just don't get it.

No real surprise there. Hense my stance on this issue.

You either feel "real good" about yourself - or you you don't.

If you do, as I do - and if a part of that "feeling good about yourself" is "your understanding of others and how they think, how they feel, their differences and above all - respect of such," then, then.........

You are doing about as fine as you can do.

However, you - you and your feeling of self-rightousnes, of goodness, of perfection - no matter how successfully tempered by "respect of others" - are prejudiced (with a godamn "ed").

And if you are not - then you are not feeling good about yourself.

To feel good about yourself, to feel self assured - you must be prejudiced. The two go hand in hand.

It's simply a PC fact that the word "prejudiced" has come to have mostly negative conotations. Folks are not inclined to adimit it - admit they feel it or have it.

But we all do.

We all form predisposed conclusions, ideas and thoughts based upon nothing more than casual information and much ignorance - on all matters in our lives. We're simply affraid to admit it.

And - those of us with healthy, self confident egos - are equally guilty of ignorant prejudice, inflicted upon those who are different from us.

Us. You. The embodiment of "what is" right with the world.

My conjecture is that those who would argue different - have a lessor self esteem or........

Are blinded by political correctness to the point where they have squelched their own healthy self image.

Fools are we all. No fucking duh.
