My BFF cooked for me!

My BFF is a she, and she is a totally amazing cook. It is quite an occasion for me when she comes over and prepares my food. On my own, it would be much different food on the plate. This is one of my favorite plates, and I wish I had the whole set, but my cabinet is filled with mismatched garage sale and thrift store finds.

It would be very nice to have someone here cooking for me regularly.

My mistake.

I find cooking to be relaxing. And as long as the kitchen is clean when I get there, it's no chore to cook. Mind you, I'm a clean cook and wash as I go, so even intensive cooking does not produce a mountain of dishes.

I think the plate/bowl in my cupboard that matches that plate was thrown by one of the chefs at UAA and was sold at their annual pottery sale.

I am like this as well.
But not one other person I know is - even a simple dish like heuvos rancheros seems to need every single pot, pan and utensil in the kitchen! :eek:
 
Homemade Risotto Primavera tonight.

A little adaptation: I used gruyere instead of parmesan because that's what was in the fridge.

Looking forward to it being paired with the venison and a bottle of red.
 
I bought 10 pounds or so of those giant Brontosaurus ribs at the store today. Frozen. I'm not sure when I'll get them on the grill as my eating schedule is pretty booked up for the next week.

I haven't been to the Minerva Bakery in ages...it might be time to go to Da Burgh again.
 
I've got a big bowl of sliced cucumbers and onions soaking in vinegar and ranch dressing. One of my favorite summery salads.
 
Grilled squash and zucchini tonight. I like squash as much as the next guy, but one squash plant could feed an army.
