Just a basic $20 thing. I'm trying to downsize and get rid of stuff, so it killed me to buy something new. But for $20 I won't feel bad leaving it behind when I walk out the door.

I thought you were packing up and driving off into the sunset in your Explorer? Why the wait?

Has anyone had any success with oven fried chicken? I'm thinking of making some tonight and I don't feel like messing with the stove top fry.

It's summer. Shouldn't that chicken be cooked on the outdoor grill?

Think I did this once a while back and it came out like an order of non-crispy KFC chicken. Not really gonna get that signature crunch-crispiness that comes with traditional frying, though.

I shouldn't laugh because I do eat tofu in certain meals. :D

Best way is as a chilled side order to a meal on a hot day, as in hiyayakko:

Why, can't you just sell it ass is?

Snow globes included!

Well, I thought about that. But Savageville is having a turn over where all the oldies are leaving and new young families are moving in. It sounds corny, but I want to sell the house to a nice young family that can move in and enjoy it for the next 20 years.

Plus... I have no where to go at the moment.

I have the dinner rolls for this afternoon's traditional Sunday dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, etc., etc., rising on the hood of my pickup truck. As long as the cat stays down, it's all good.

After yesterday's incident on the way to a party, when I had a reaction to a car interior???, I decided to make my own powerade type thing.

Seriously, I have no idea what I reacted to. I did the usual-inhaler, zofran, H1 and H2 antihistamines and started pushing powerade. Four hours later I felt really strange like no way was I driving, so I switched to hot water with sugar in it and it got a bit better. Powerade has citric acid, coloring, flavoring and ester of rosin or something which I am not so sure about for me.

So I pretended I was Byron and looked at powerade ingredients that I wanted and tried to figure it out. I mixed 3.5 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon Morton Lite sale (potassium and sodium chloride), 1/2 cup Trader juices cherry juice and 1/4 cup sugar.

I made a simple syrup with the salt, sugar and a bit of the water first. It is a little too sweet but I can get it down and so far okay. I think I will try only 2 or 3 Tablespoons of sugar next time.

I am missing the magnesium so I am thinking carrying almonds or some sort of muffin with me that has magnesium in it.

This is the second time I'm making this and it's fucking fantastic.

I browsed through the user-uploaded food pics and I knew the sauce would be more light brown and thin than I wanted it to be. I wanted mine to look exactly like the main pic so I reserved some of the liquid sauce and made a slurry with 1 tbs. of cornstarch and added it to the rest of the sauce before adding the chicken back in. The sauce was so gooey and sticky and looked identical to the pic, so I recommend the slurry.

So. Fucking. Good. And easy. Like your mom.

Noor ~ I've made something similar for years. I use Morton Light Salt Mixture which had magnesium in it.

I just checked it does say magnesium on the Lite salt but not how much. I will look for others.

Royal Addition will be available in 7oz (200g) retail packs and waxed truckles.

We have also produced a limited number of 9lb Deli Wheels which will be sold exclusively at the Deli Counter of Wholefoods Market Stores across the USA.

http://westminstercheddar.com/our-cheddar/special-editions/westminster-royal-addition.aspx

They have some shards, and they will give you a taste, if you ask.

I bought the non- royal stuff, before I saw this.

Perfect for UK style pizza with baked potato as a side.

"The Westminster Royal Edition Cheddar as a rather special handmade English cheese produced especially to celebrate the birth of the new Royal Baby.

(They must have sent the mistakes to the USA because the wax is blue.)

The pizza base is light and tender. The tomato topping is mild. I use fresh cherry tomatoes. The cheddar is flavorful and a bit salty. It is a subtle and delicate pizza.

I am a vegetarian. No meat.

Unlike my hippie pizza that shouts strong whole grain, with bufallo mozzarella and veggie pepperoni. I use fresh oregano and thyme assault the tastebuds.

You could use it for a frisbee. heh

I am guessing I would have a nervous breakdown if I tried to make it from scratch

I do croissants because I practiced until I got it right.

No free form and free flying. Simple but iron clad rules.

Elderberries make a strange addition to punch.
*sings* "Fruit juicy, Hawaiian punch!"

Strawberries, cherries, and an angel's kiss, in Spring...

Chicken jalafrezi with rice, hot mango achar and cilantro salsa for dinner.
I am in food heaven :)
