Before you ask some woman to watch you naked on your webcam, make sure he's sincere.

It may also apply to those who have been gone for awhile and recently came back. :rolleyes:

Haha, I have never read anything from this thread. I have never felt I needed to. Though, I see some people post like they haven't got a clue, and I try to be helpful. ;)

Advice to a new Litster when two women from Lit pay you compliments accept them and stuff !!!

Pay attention not to post the real life names of the friends that you make in a thread.

I made this careless mistake last night and deeply regret this breach in etiquette.

:eek:

But, now I know.

Well, 98% of the people that I correspond with mean quite a lot to me because of their kindness and confidence in me. And not understanding that blurting out their name in "public" is considered a faux pas here is kind of dumb on my part. I feel like I've betrayed a trust.

Seriously try not to worry about ti so much. It happens, you are not the only one that has done it.

*hugs*

If you're PMing the ladies - don't use the same "form" letter/PM - we can see it and most of us won't reply. If you tell us that you've seen us posting on a thread, be specific, if we reply most of us will call you on it, and your not remembering will just confirm what we knew before we replied.

Try to not comment to the person that you're PMing that another Litster that you're also PMing w/ is somehow better - that will simply make you look like you're not worth the time to get to know.

~~~
A refresher for those who may have left Lit & returned to Lit:
Don't ever PM someone in the attempt of "catching up" when your only purpose is to get someone else's contact information - that's just plain rude and makes you look like an asshole!!!!
Good gravy, that's some cheesy stuff to do right there. I'm sorry this happens to you ladies.
Closest I've come to this was letting a couple of you read the same story that I wrote before the lady that I wrote it for got the chance to read it. I'd sent it and waited and waited but she wasn't online and I know she's been busy with a personal issue. And I figured, if I'm going to get feedback (and possible corrections), I need to let a couple other people read it.
But I believe that each were made aware of the fact that it was not written specifically "to" them.
Wow. Dumb. Sort of like the stupid crap we do in real life. Un-fucking-believable. :mad:
