You might be right….but I doubt it. No one was this bearish before the depression. Everyone was euphoric. All I hear now is negative sentiment. My guess is the market roars in the second half of the year after everyone forgets about tariffs.

This reminds me of the Japanese Yen carry trade that blew up a few years ago. Everyone said it was gonna cause the entire economy to collapse. Two months later everyone forgot what it even was. Lol

Time. A day or week doesn't make a trend in the economy. The full effect of the tariffs won't be felt for another quarter or two AND once a real trade and tariff program has been established. Currently we are seeing a tariff program that is manic/depressive being on one day and off another. That isn't a trade program. The amount of tariffs will also play a factor. Until some of the on again off again trade practices are settled there isn't much to argue.

Stabiliy is what investors are looking for not whipsaw commentary from an emotional outburst. Facts are also a good thing rather than a knee-jerk commentary about the success of a bombing campaign.

Watching the bond and foreign exchange gives more of a barometer than the price of oil. Powell did the right thing to wait out before doing any rate cutting. If the market is so robust, why do we need a rate cut?

So far the effects of the tariffs have resulted in no changes in my life. I gave it a couple months and I understand that the future is uncertain. Same as it ever was.

Iran will likely rush ahead and successfully build a nuclear weapons stockpile with the FOUR HUNDRED KILOGRAMS (eight hundred fifty pounds) of missing enriched uranium, as DonOld seems inclined to not finish the job - and to stop Israel from finishing the job. That may well lead to WWIII. If regime change doesn’t happen in fairly short order, a nuclear armed Iran is almost guaranteed.

Says who? Markets are hitting new all time highs, the employment numbers look great. That’s why the fed won’t lower rates. Things are too good to give them a reason to lower rates. They only lower rates when things are bad.
