This will be a thread where we all share with and support each other with weight loss. We can share our original weight what we weight now. The starting date of you keeping track. your diet and exercise regiments and whatever worries or idea's you have to lose weight.

I'll get us started

starting date a month ago so we will say 3/2/2007
original weight 220.
current weight 204.
total weight loss 16lbs

my exercise plan is simple lots of cardio. I was playing basketball almost everyday until i hurt my foot. Foot is getting better so back to basketball in a week or 2. I was also doing yoga not that advanced i'm still learning.

my diet has mostly been wraps from arbys or subway keeping it healthy and mostly keeping breads out of my diet. keeping it balanced though and if i do have carbs i'm having them in the mornings. in about another week i'm gonna reintroduce fruits. I've also started going organic foods as much as i possibly can. They are much better for you and can be quite tasty actually.

so i'm ready to hear from everyone else.

Congrats on your progress Tiff!

Tiff-great to see you back on the boards and with a vengeance. Great idea for a support thread too!

Me, I lost 40 lbs several years ago, and now bounce around between 127 and 130, in the summer, up to 135 in the winter, depends how much skiing I get in!

I know that to many that will sound high for somone that is just 5'2" but I have always looked lighter than what I weigh, and am quite happy at a curvy size 10. Size 8 was nice but I am not going to get my knickers in a knot over it.

My biggest hurdle was learning to live with the fact my life wasn't going according to plan, and that I could sit on the couch and get fat(ter) or get off my ass and start living again.

Guess you can tell what I chose! :)

yeah well i'm an overweight at 5'4" or so. i gained weight due to a combination of things from not being able to go outside and play much in the winter i used to get sick easy. to moving and not having many friends in the new neighborhood. Also thats about the same time i started having the feelings of wanting to be a girl. While i acted like i was happy to be going through the process of becoming a man i was in constant turmoil. i was unhappy and it resulted in me not being active and eatting alot. drinking 8 pops a day was also not a good idea. but at one point i was over 260 lbs.

I'll get back to you wed night. IF i have lost some more weight. i'm scared i havent. and even then someone can convert my kilos to pounds ;) cos i have no idea.

Interesting - just checking stuff out.

as a small sz 14 aus (my clothes are getting really loose) that makes me a size 10 US or size 12 uk.. :)

which means. as a size 12 Aus (which i am mostly) i am therefore a size 8 US and a size 10 UK :D

looking forward to it Aussie.

1kilo = 2.2 pounds approximately. and women's sizes your speaking jibberish to me still. I am a size 14 i think in jeans but i don't know enough about women's sizes yet so i always drag a girl with me when i go shopping lol.

According to my scale, I've lost about five pounds since my last doctor's visit. It isn't a lot considering that visit was months ago.

I'm not brave enough to post my original weight, but I'll keep everyone posted. Cutting back meal portions, breads, and sugared sodas is what I'm doing now. Waiting to see if I can find a yoga dvd that's beginner level. Something that'll work with my physical issues.

i dont think i like that. that means my doctor has set a target weight for me of about 154 pounds..

i'm short so that doesnt make all that much sense.

I'm not far off mind you. but we will see tomorrow

I got some really gentle yoga DVDs at Costco a couple of years back. If you don't have a membership, you can usually get a one day trial but saying you would like to try the place out, they let you do that about once a year.

But if there is anyway you can go to a class that would be better because you would have guidance on adaptations imposed by physical limitations. (IMHO  )

yeah for the most part i do!

I am already participating in a similar thread on the BDSM board but I am happy to chime in over here too.

In January 2006 I was 189 lbs and a size 16. (I'm 5'4".) I lost about 25 lbs, I was down to 157 by August 2006. And then I plateaued for a long time, and lately I've been creeping back up. This morning I was 167.8. About two weeks ago I started swimming twice a week; 30 minutes left me unbelievably sore - I haven't gone swimming since I was a kid! - so I am going to stick to 20 minutes. Though actually I am thinking maybe tonight I might try for 20 laps and see how long it takes me...I am a SLOW swimmer! :)

good luck hun!

I don't have a Costco down here, Lezli, and classes are expensive for me right now. So a DVD will have to do. Do you and Tiff have any suggestions on titles?

Unfortunately, I've probably gained more than lost. Let's say I like my sweets too much.

Also, living in the Midwest sucks. I wish the weather would stablized for a week so I can take a walk around the neighborhood.

Oh well, I'll think of something.

I've been researching that elliptical machine that was suggested but given how high the price is, it's going to be a long time before I can get one.

Well the results are in and i'm kindof pissed off.

i only lost .7 of a kilo in the last 2 weeks.

grrr

but i'm only 4.5 off target. and i have lost 4 cm off my waist and bum in a month.

meh.

another 2 weeks and i see if i've improved

Then I guess you don't wanna know European sizes... they start at 30 (can only be worn by the extremely skinny) and go up to I don't know where.

Damn it, if your gonna put a capital L on 'Lost' you'll have me thinking this is a GLBT thread about 'Lost' the TV show. Got my hopes up that did

today was weigh day.

lost another half a kilo. its pissing me off that it is going so slow now.

but it is going. Doc says she cant do anything more. i cant reduce what i am eating and i cant increase exercise. just gotta play the waiting game.

exercise levels are high though and i am proud.

2.5 hrs TKD last night. another 2.5 tomorrow. 1.5 tonight. and i felt slack. so i went 7 k in an hour. ran 4.5 and speedwalked 2.5. i've done better but hey.

i feel good.

just letting yous know

i'm staying at a steady 205lbs or hmmm i would say 98kilos i got a long ways to go but my exercise is about to increase dramatically.
