I know. But do you think that one single instance a truism makes?
Furthermore, as I pointed out, you have not proved that they called for the original ordinance instead of advocating for a particular change in the ordinance. I think you need to do some more research on your example that conclusively proves that it was a new regulation specifically demanded by business. Personally, I think there's a reason all the restaurants tend to come together in the same locations...
Do I think this one instance of a business going down to city hall and demanding laws be enacted proves that businesses don't want to be left alone? Yes!
Are you able to prove that someone in city hall randomly pressed for a law that said food trucks should be x distance away from brick & mortar establishments? No. In fact, that statement defies all realms of logic.
AJ, you've been proven conclusively proven wrong in this instance, and sadly, you haven't even been able to bring up one point that has anything to do with the topic.
Would you like another example? Disney is spending wads of cash to prevent casinos from opening or expanding in other parts of Florida.
Another? Brick & mortar retail establishments are trying to get regulations passed on how sales taxes are collected from online retailers.
