It's kinda cool too, you can change the level of resistance by adding different sizes of wire and lengths and different kinds of material. It's like inertia, only with electricity.

Many things are sold which carry mixed messages. Your secret agents have been using projectile weapons disguised as all manner of innocent objects since before um... well, for a long time now. Imagine the impact (sorry, couldn't resist) of seeing the woman in KM's pic whip that weapon out from behind her back to confront an approaching assailant. She'd be able to plug em as they writhed helplessly on the ground in laughter thinking she was threatening them with a squit gun:
