mom update

my mom is a fighter ..that is for sure.. and she has faught a long hard battle over this cancer.. but soon her fight will be over..and her pain will end.....We have tryed all we can..and it was all in vain.. We have ended her treatments..and are keeping her as comfy as possible. until God calls her home.

I have been taking advantage of the late summer weather to finish up the gardens (almost all of the tomatoes are done) and canning up a storm to remind me of the good produce thru the winter.

I have been doing a lot of dyhdrating this year

I didnt do any dehydrating this year but have done plenty in the past. I ended up making various jams and chutneys with all the berries, plums and did up about 30 - 40 pounds of green tomato slices (nothing better than fried green tomatoes). I also made up lots of zucchini pickles. Probably will end up doing some food basket gifts over the holidays with some of it.

Any news on wanderingbrat's mother?

her mom is still alive and as of a few minutes ago
was resting/sleeping ...

funeral is Wednesday

I am sorry to hear the news but glad she is finally at peace. I know it was a long process for everyone involved and they all deserved some peace finally.
