oh Richard, please don't feel so hopeless! you know that i think R isn't deserving of all the attention and energy you spend on her. there are other things in life which can make you happy if you just let them! she's screwing up big time by not understanding everything you have to offer, but nothing can change that. it's always impossible to imagine someone better than the girl you love until you meet them!! but you can't meet anyone if you don't quit this tunnel-vision focusing on R. you're clearly a man of boundless energies, even if you sometimes feel drained, and i have no doubt that you'd charm the dew off a honeysuckle if you were in a good mood. it's just my uninvolved opinion, but i do think you can find a woman who would actually APPRECIATE all of the effort and emotion you put into a relationship instead of just being annoyed by it.

i'm still here with you, Richard. it's not much, but it's all i know how to do.

hey bb as always it is nice to see you
With R I just tried to salvage something
below is a post of the most recent development

what i get for not lurking more often. :D

i have two artifical heart valves. so i guess i be bionic too! :D

and i'm only 47. long story that...anyway. i know for myself the recovery process is long and fraught with ups and downs. the body goes through a lotta changes. then i have supportive medications to keep the valves running smoothly that really mess me up at times. depression is an ongoing battle that can sometimes be more due to meds than circumstance.

anyway..i wish you a good continued recovery! it'll be 2 yrs in may for me and there are still things to be dealt with. not the least of which is the constant clicking sound of the valves! :D

:rose:

Thank you for stopping by
I have been told many times that I need ot be on the heart transplant list
I tell them I have been accused of being heartless most of my life
so no point in trying to put one in
I tell them to go find a nice young mom and give her the one they would give me

Rachel e-mailed me today
and told me to not e-mail her again
I wrote back that I would remove her address from my computer

It did not hurt as much as Saturdays remark did
but dam it hurt

I will be leaving Thrusday for a Men in Recovery spiritual Retreat in Ohio ..... be back Sunday night I hope......

I have very little hope and no expectation that this will help any thing - that it will just be a long trip that costs me money

Well I have been home from retreat
It went better then I expected
but Friday night my defibulator fired
at the dinner table

The opening session was on
"The problem of God and Evil
the resent about God we bring to our recovery"

Got home Sunday night
Defib fired then
and again Monday night
and again Tuesday morning

I took ambulance ot ER
it fiored twice there
once well I was peeing
(who just laughed?)

They made some bionic adjustments and sent me home

It fired Tuesday night
went back to ER
they admitted me

It turned out that a drug they had me on was a no-no
(I now have a list of no - no drugs)

Came home Friday afternoon late

I am here
and miss you all

:rose: to each of you my dear friends

jeez, Richard! your defib sounds like it's out to get you! but other than crazy doctors giving you no-no drugs, i'm glad you had a nice time! it's good to hear from you again! ^_^

(as for who laughed, i'm afraid that was me!)

Hello, Sir.

(knocking on the door with my gloved hand, holding a casserole and a pitcher of mint julep in the basket on my arm.) Yoo hoo, neighbor? I just came by to see if you needed anything.

(leaning against the wood railing and fanning myself with a paper fan I pull from my sleeve after setting the basket at my feet.)

It's such a hot day here for April --the orange blossom and roses heavy in the air, the sky as clear as can be. You know, I feel like I know you from your writing. Would a courtly gentleman like you happen to be from the South?

It's not done for a lady to invite herself for a visit, but if it wouldn't be too presumptuous, may I enjoy the cool shade out here on the porch, and set for a spell on your porchswing?

I sit myself demurely on the swing, ankles crossed, beigh pumps, heels just high enough to arch my feet and I let one dangle off my toes, leaning back, my head tilted, I examine you thru the screendoor.

I stretch out my long legs, lift my bosom. My dress is flowered cotton, tight at the waist, flared skirt, very fifties, or even forties, unbuttoned for the heat just enough so that from a standing position you can catch a peek of white, lacy brassiere. My hair is past my shoulders, thick waves of gold and auburn gleaming chestnut, my eyes look dark from that distance and watch you intensely, a small catsmile on my dark red lips, the high forehead and pointy chin give my face a bit of a heart, or cat, look. My brows are darkish wings, peaches and cream skin.

(A diplomat's wife I once met said when I went up to read poetry, she expected to hear scented magnolias. She didn't. OOC: All this is true, only the clothes are made up. My husband prefers I don't flirt. Well, I'm going to make an exception for you, darlin'. And take the spanking or whatever I get. Just hope it won't be disappointment, that's so much worse. Well. I'm a woman 'of a certain age,' lush like Maggie in Cat on a hot tin roof. And I'd enjoy a little harmless flirt with a courtly gentleman.)

Warm out here, isn't it? Mint julep, Sir?

Mint ice tea, then. (Pours, then takes ice cube out of glass and slowly trails it down the side of neck and around neckline.)
I'm actually a California woman but my mother's family is from Texas all the way back and I feel quite comfortable there. I love the sound of the cicadas, and the green light thru the trees in the Texas Hill Country where she's from. (Kicks off both heels and curls feet under bottom like a cat.)

Is it warm where you are, this fine afternoon? No cicadas here, just lawnmowers, traffic and a few birds. My children are still little. Yours?

glad you enjoyed the pics, Richard! i was gonna make sure you checked them out, but leave it to you to locate hot photos on your own!

Results are in
(drum roll please)
no new heart damage

Of course that does not answer what has causes my heart beat to go crazy and my ejection rate to drop
but............................
