Yet Another Anal Question

I've been around long enough on the boards to know I'm starting about the 10 000th thread on the subject, but anyway.

I've only ever played with my own ass twice, both in the last week. First time went fine, I started small, only one finger, with some lube. Went good, was a very interesting and enjoyable sensation.

I tried it again tonight. I decided to go with 2 fingers this time, after doing 1 for a couple of minutes. With lube, 2 didn't seem uncomfortable at all really. Again, an interesting sensation. One problem. When I pulled my fingers out, I discovered a tiny bit of blood. I wasn't really bleeding. Just a couple of drops, nothing much. After checking myself I seem fine now about a half hour later. But I took the hint and stopped what the hell I was doing, becasue I have no desire to damage myself. I was NOT in discomfort while I did it, nor am I in discomfort now after it's over (beyond a minimal feeling of having been stretched a little, which I also experienced last time, and I gather is perfectly normal for this kind of thing).

Like I said, just a couple drops of blood, no real discomfort during or after. I was pretty well lubed, at least I think I was. I was sliding in and out without discomfort. So my question is was this in any way a normal experience for someone new to having something up there?

Are your nails smoothed and kept? You might have scratched yourself unintentionally. Try rubber gloves or get yourself a small (small!) toy to start with. Blood shouldn't be present under normal circumstances. There's a chance it could be for something else, but with your body you don't want to take chances.

I am thinking that is probably all it was as well, now that you mention it. I am a compulsive nail chewer. So my nails are about as short as they're gonna get, but not always perfectly evened out. It's possible come to think of it that yes, it could have just been a small scratch from a (very slight) uneven edge on a nail. The small amount of blood was on the end of the finger, around the nail edge. So that's a possibility. If that's all it was, it's a good lesson about just how sensitive those tissues are. Because otherwise things seemed fine.

I do now very few of medicine but hermorrhoids do also often cause bleeding in the bowels. I think it very unlikely but if it keeps bleeding over long time it is never wrong to check with a physician.

(I had to check at least a dozen words in the dictionary, but I hope the meaning is discernable.)
