The only advice I can offer is don't use vaseline. This is a common mistake... because it is slippery people often think it can be used as a lubricant... WRONG.. PAINFULLY WRONG... after it wears down it actually works an an anti-lube.... almost like glue (though not sticky).. that's the best I can do for now.... I'm not a fan of anal sex.... so I can't offer you any info on making it feel better.... i've tried just about all i can think of with a few different people... go figure!

You're brave to try again - good for you! Pain doesn't have to be a part of this. You should be able to have mind-blowing sex without causing yourself physical damage!!

Communicate your fears to your partner. He needs to understand why you are worried. Both of you need to go SLOWLY.

I would start with a hot bath. Maybe you could relax with a glass or two of wine.

The lube along with being relaxed is definitely important. I would also suggest not even starting with anal until you are very turned on....and would start with a finger, very well lubed, playing around, not even inserting until you really feel you want it. I would also suggest starting on your back, playing with yourself while he plays with you, teasing, making sure you enjoy it.

Take it slow, over the course of a couple nights/days.
