Did Israel just demonstrate to Yemen just how easy it would be to exterminate them?
Yemen imports about 80% of its food.
Yemen has only a few functional ports that can import food.
If Israel or anyone else destroys enough port infrastructure, Yemen would no longer be able to import food. They'd quickly starve to death.

No they wouldn't. Humanitarian aid would quickly begin airdrops of food and other items.

The C-130's and C-17's might have trouble not colliding with each other in mid air though.

In that war zone?
Not happening.
Do you understand how much tonnage would be needed?

Yes. Moreso than you think. I also know that airdrops are probably the most inefficient method of delivering goods but they are also a method which can reach people extremely quickly. Plus we have "new" foods which are high calorie and which can be delivered by air as a way of staving off starvation. It won't be prosperity, just not wholesale starvation.

However, airdrops would be only the beginning and would only last a couple of weeks before the piers would be rebuilt enough for ships to return. As a matter of practicality Israel isn't going to decimate the wharves, just knock them out of commission to teach Yemen a lesson.

There are massive riots in Yemen at present against the Houthis.

When bodies start appearing on the beaches in the morning is when I'll start believing the people reject the Houthis.
