Xbox or Gamecube, I really need help fast

I'm leaving in a little under two hours to get a new game system, but I don't know which one I want. I played the new zelda yesterday and it really looks amazing. On the other hand, Halo and Splinter Cell, among a couple others, seem great as well. Which one should I get? I know most of you won't be able to help me, but I had to try.

I own both and If I had to throw one away it would be the Xbox. The Xbox has good graphics but besides a couple of titles I don't play it much. However if your into online gaming I'd go with the Xbox.

I went for the gamecube, mainly because of the RE games.

I love it and am totally addicted to the Sims game.

The gamecube has zelda, mario, metroid, RE, and super monkey ball. That's about it for me. The Xbox has halo, splinter cell, panzer dragoon, jedi knight 2, star wars: knights of the old republic, and, imo, the best version of the upcoming soul calibur 2. I figured it up one day and both systems have about the same amount of games I'll want to play in the near future. I used to have broadband, and when I get it again, the xbox would be a certain choice.

Get the system you think you will enjoy the most right now. GC has some pretty good games out that are tons of fun to play. Zelda, Eternal Darkness, RE, Mario, Animal Crack errr I mean ... Crossing .... and anyway, prices are going to be dropping around the time E3 takes place this year.

So get the one you want now, and save up for the 2nd one coming up.

Both are great systems and have a lot of games to play.

The only thing that's been said about price drops is that it might happen as early as May, but maybe as late as around Christmas.

No... they are probably going down if not Spring, then early summer.

Well anyway, I'll probably just get Microsoft's big green machine for now...then regret it everytime I see Zelda's jaw-dropping graphics. Then I'll just either have to get rid of the xbox for a gamecube, or shell out another $150 later this summer. I'm just greedy, I want it all now that I have some extra cash.

Dude...when you work in an ice cream factory and it comes summertime, you start working ungodly hours. Starting next week, I'll probably put in 50-55 hours a week. After that...could be up to 65-70 hours a week. I'll be making three times as much as I need to live on.


Oh...and I hate layaway. I even despise reserving things. I'm weird like that. If some really impressive and much anticipated title comes out, I'll just wake my ass up really early and be the first one there. Weird, huh?
