I happen to be Listening to Dark Side of the Moon, with Julie Cruise, Mr. Crowley, and Santanna on deck...

Hey Inside, I would have to say that the one Floyd song that I crank it up every single time I hear it, is "Wish you were here", that song is just awesome.

Floyd are cool though, but I like to listen to my Pantera when talking on here, beleive it or not, it calms me :)

Nitey..

Thank goodness, now I don't feel out in the cold! I have back-up LOL

His song "Late for the sky" is my favorite.

Nitey

*sigh* It's all so deep, his music always puts me in a languid mood.

Listening to a bit of everything lately...

Just finished listening to Alan Parsons and Stevie Ray Vaughan. SRV does a great live performance of "Willy the Wimp". Apparently David Pack (Ambrosia) joined on with Alan Parsons on his last two CD's. Eric Woolfson and Parsons have a great combination of talent and voice (listen to I Robot and Turn of a friendly Card).
I'm waiting on the release of the latest Kansas CD "Somewhere to Elsewhere". Kerry Livgren produced and wrote all the material I've heard.Definitely one of my favorite bands! Speaking earlier of Pink Floyd, my brother just picked up the Zabriskie Point soundtrack with Floyd, Jerry Garcia and a band I've never heard of called Kaleidescope. When I get the chance that will be the next CD on board. (just want to relisten to Stevie Ray again...great cd: The Real Deal Greatest Hits Volume 2.

Parsons and Floyd: You gotta love these bands or what!?

Being on the same wave here, I thought I might just add that Alan Parsons engineered the making of Pink Floyd"s Dark Side of the Moon. No wonder these two groups have such an original and classic sound. Check out Pink Floyd "Meddle" and Ummagumma! I have Alan Parson's Eye in the Sky on tape but the tape is old and distorting (time to buy a CD :). Vulture Culture is another good AP production- listen to "The Traveller"- enjoy!!!
Oh yeah...early Steve Miller Band, Ambrosia, and Genesis are worth listening to if this is the sound you like Inside Shiraz!

Steve Miller Band: Children of the Future (1968?)
" " " : Sailor (1968-1969?)
Ambrosia: Self Title (1974) re: Mama Frog
" : Road Island (1982) reissued on CD (expensive)
Genesis: Nursery Cryme (1971-72)
" : Trick of the Tail (1976) (without Peter Gabriel)

Well, you should!

Good thread, Shiraz! I'm not listening to anything but peace and quiet at the moment.

Dave Matthews Band ~ Under the Table and Dreaming

"Whatever tears at us
Whatever holds us down
And if nothing can be done
We'll make the best of what around"

Everclear

-I can handle all the hell that happens everyday
-When you smile and touch my face
-You make it all just go away
-I know this aint no finish line
-I know this never ends
-I'm just learning how to fall & get back up again
-You know I live for the day
-When you say baby, let's just run away
