However, I think one thing that is often overlooked is that virus variants (aka, mutations) arise when the virus replicates. The virus can only replicate when it has a host (when it has infected someone). Therefore, higher rates of vaccination will lower the chance that virus variants will arise.

Most of the mutations that occur in bats are of less immediate importance to us because it is rare for coronaviruses to jump from bats to humans . Those strains already adapted to humans are a far bigger concern right now.

But we are still learning a lot about coronaviruses, and it certainly makes sense to study the factors and mutations which facilitate cross-species transmission.

What would it take to convince you it wasn't a lab leak? If a virus that was 99.9% identical in sequence was found in a bat or another animal, would you believe it was natural? If that animal was not close to Wuhan, would that help?

I haven't formed a solid opinion yet, and would definitely like to see some data and investigation. But I lean towards it being a natural virus, as there isn't any genetic evidence of genome manipulation. Not sure if it escaped from a lab; it would be good to see more data on the reported illnesses of employees at the lab.

And then go on to tell us that it's "entirely natural" in it's DNA sequence even though there's evidence that some scientists who looked at the data early on (prior to the debunking of the theory by the MSM that's now looking like egg on their faces) thought that MAYBE it isn't "naturally evolved"?

Credibility is what's being examined here. It's just not totally credible that the virus, which began the pandemic in the very city where China is studying "gain of function" (ie; how to make it more transmissible to humans) for that exact virus in a lab that has a KNOWN HISTORY of infectious disease transmission to its workers from its disease samples, somehow made the jump to humans on it's own and without human intervention.

Because it's China, nothing can be assumed or discounted. On the one hand, China is a hot bed for natural virus outbreaks for various, and what should be, obvious reasons. On the other hand, China's Wuhan virology lab has been cited for its poor safety protocols. At this point, with the available information, a person can take their pick as to where the virus originated. However, it's far too early to conclude that one theory or the other is a slam dunk. It always was too early.

The traitor in chief was the first to politicize the virus, despite being the one who lifted the pause on funding gain of funding research at the Wuhan lab, and lying about the danger Covid presented to the U.S. The traitor in chief also gutted the CDC staff in China, and alienated allies who could have supported U.S.efforts to get more information from China once the outbreak became a pandemic.

At this point it isn't only about what happened in China. It's also about what didn't happen in the U.S.

This is a great response. I'm quite sick of distrust of science due to misunderstanding of what it is. Overall, messaging for health recommendations based on new scientific information is difficult enough without all the misinfo being spread.

MSM itself doesn't do the talking, they have SCIENTIST GUESTS who do the talking. One of which was Fauci who claimed that the lab leak theory wasn't supported by the evidence.


Meanwhile, we now have a trove of Fauci emails saying otherwise.
