Wuhan Flu update.

MSM itself doesn't do the talking, they have SCIENTIST GUESTS who do the talking. One of which was Fauci who claimed that the lab leak theory wasn't supported by the evidence.

Meanwhile, we now have a trove of Fauci emails saying otherwise.

Post one.

MSM doesn't debunk scientific hypotheses; science does. Scientists want to see more data. They want more investigation to form or revise hypotheses.

Most scientists still (despite what is insinuated by MSM) lean towards the hypothesis that SARS-CoV-2 is a natural virus (see the third link below). That doesn't mean scientists don't question this. It doesn't mean they don't want more investigation. Of course they do!! That is what scientists do!

For those who are interested in the original letter responsible for the MSM frenzy and some of the scientific discussion of it rather than MSM's highly politicized taken on it, here are three non-technical papers from two respected scientific journals:

https://science.sciencemag.org/content/372/6543/694.1

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01529-3

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41...d-id=6E29CC4C3A1E5F78A205BB2F108469E84F7F5EBA

Interesting reads. At least they all seem to be on-board with the notion of a 'full investigation.' The third article you linked is a little troubling which I'll get into later.

First of all they are informative/editorial in nature, no science per se'. I don't take issue with that until such time as some one tries to trot said articles out as if they ARE science like a few have tried with that wholly political and intellectually bankrupt letter that was printed in The Lancet last year.

The second letter makes mention of the CCP's reluctance (an understatement if there ever was one) in cooperating with any investigation. I suggest it is more like stonewalling and destruction of evidence on their part. Let's face it, as of yesterday they were still officially claiming only 4,700 or so Wuhan Flu related deaths in their nation. That number is absurd on the face of it.

All of the articles delve into the area of societal impacts, such as attacks on Asians. And do so without mentioning WHO is attacking those Asians. I'm sorry but as much as that is true it is NOT in their wheelhouse. It's almost as if they are trying to use that as an excuse NOT to have a full investigation. If they want to have a discussion on societal impacts perhaps they may want to open a discussion on the justifications for engaging in 'gain of function' research to begin with.

Which brings us to the third article. Virtually all 'gain of function' research is being funded wholly or in part by governments. As has been disclosed our own (US) government had a hand in the Wuhan Lab research. This is BIG money which means that most of the scientists that are capable of participating in any investigation have a vested interest in NOT finding blame with the Wuhan Lab. They are compromised from the outset as are ALL governments engaged in such research. The risk for them is a huge backlash in public opinion and the drying up of all funding associated with said research. As I previously mentioned in this thread the various governments interest in these pathogens and the genetic manipulation thereof is in the creation of bio-weapons. By going about it in the manner that they are, under the cloak of public health, they can go about this business not only unmolested, but with public support. The last thing they want are the villagers storming the castle with pitchforks and torches in outrage over the monster that has been set among them. The third article is trying to set the stage for the results, and dire consequences, of de-funding 'gain of function' research. I find their arguments unconvincing. Nature has been quite capable of creating little Frankenstein's to torment the human race over the millennia, do we really need to help her out?

A lab leak is a possibility that is difficult to exclude. What data supports your hypothesis? Do you believe it was an accidental (or intentional) leak of a natural virus, or a manmade virus?

What would it take to convince you it wasn't a lab leak? If a virus that was 99.9% identical in sequence was found in a bat or another animal, would you believe it was natural? If that animal was not close to Wuhan, would that help?

I haven't formed a solid opinion yet, and would definitely like to see some data and investigation. But I lean towards it being a natural virus, as there isn't any genetic evidence of genome manipulation. Not sure if it escaped from a lab; it would be good to see more data on the reported illnesses of employees at the lab.

They have yet to find a single animal in the wild infected with the virus
or a similar virus, but we do know the lab was doing research on the virus.
The transmission from the wet market is the Chinese doing the old,
look over there routine to hide its culpability and our government is
going along with it as not to anger the Communist Chinese...

Sorry. The lab was collecting examples of the virus (and others( from Bats near Wuhan. The various viruses exist in many wild animals.

Ogg, the closest zoonotic source of a disease remotely similar to the Wuhan Flu is found in bats in Hunan province, several hundreds of miles from Wuhan. No trace of the disease was, or has been, found in the Wuhan 'wet market' or any of the surrounding markets.

Because someone might find the truth and countries can sue China for trillions...

Suing is only stage one. You have to win and then you have to get paid. That last one is the tricky part.

Why is the community engaged in 'gain of function' research also part and parcel of the 'cover up?' There is more than enough blame to be spread around including our respective governments.

The Wuhan Flu is just the tip of the iceberg re. cover up and misinformation.

That might be true, but the Wuhan lab's Bat Lady was collecting samples from bats over a wide area.

PS. And we only have the Chinese government's assertions that there was no virus in the markets of Wuhan. Do you trust their unsupported word? Most scientists want independent verified investigations which the Chinese will never allow.

First off, the 'bat lady' was collecting more than samples. Live bats were housed at the Wuhan facility (contrary to the CCP's official statements).

After over a year of 'assertions' by scientists of many nations that have proven to be BS I'm loathe to believe ANY scientist that has a vested interest in deflecting from that lab. The only investigative reporting that I've seen on the issue that indicates some seriously deep digging has been coming out of Oz.

I've always thought that Hunan Beef sounds too much like human beef, so I never order it.

The real answer is that we'll never know, because the Chinese won't let us know - even if they know themselves.

From the first post in this thread the quantity of scientific evidence produced in it amounts to approximately fifty% of five /eighths of fuck all.

The only certainties are, that we do not know, and never will know. That the Chinese Government are a collection of grade A Assholes is a given, but there is not a shred of hard evidence produced to support a tiny fraction of the allegations made.

Another fact that points to motive is the fact that the lab was working on a vaccine for Covid before the lab leak occurred, which isn't normal unless there is a plan to release the Virus. We know the Chinese military was involved with the Wuhan Lab.

Is the "bat lady" related to the "pillow guy"? Both have bats on the brain in some way. Will the Chinese ever let us know?

Also, I just adore those who "know" what went on inside China and have "facts". That they claim such is just so precious. It's like the Ish's "breakfast club" all over again.

:)

I notice Tim bailed when asked to back up his bullshit. And Ishtard is just ignoring the question until the right wing talking points factory tell him what to say.

Poor Archie, he just can't figure out why no one wants to talk to him.

Maybe if he wasn't so insistent on being so damn stupid...

Don't expect Ish to take the bait.

They have already let us know.

As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

They have acted as guilty as the guilty can possibly act.
They were too quick with a cover story; there was no investigation
which strongly implies to me, that they knew that the virus had escaped their lab.
