Mailman just delivered THE PAPER BOY DVD.
The book by Pete Dexter is outstanding and features no racism in it; I don't recall any black characters in it. But the movie has black characters and racism. Huh?
I think I know why.
The book features a couple of queer sailors who get seriously beaten up. They mugged a guy, and the local cops took them apart.
Anyway, the book is about a do-gooder who works to free a murderer off of death row, succeeds, then wishes she had left him there.
