With 40,000 plus members, it's not unexpected that you will have members who represent all personality types.
I believe that most of the folks who frequent this site, specifically the BB, are smart, kind and considerate. But even these individuals have 'off days' when they let loose and launch a tirade. Thank goodness it is infrequent.
Laurel, as for the others who come here to promote their own self-interests, please don't give them a second thought. Most of the regular members here can see right through their thinly veiled attempts to blend in as shameless pandering for customers for their own sites.
As for the shit stirrers, I wish everyone would finally come to their senses and learn to ignore them. That means not only not posting to their threads and egging them on, but to cease and desist from opening the threads in the first place.
Many people have said it before, but it bears repeating, just say no. In fact, say nothing! They will go away. Try it!
This is a community unlike any other I have found on the net. It has growing pains due to its popularity, but I have a feeling things will eventually settle down and people will calm down and resume normal interaction.
Until the next full moon. Or the next clique. Or the next whatever! lol
