Writing Goal for the Day?

Okay, I found these in the basement and had to take pics. Amazing what one can crochet.

Now, the potholders were actually made by my late grandmother (much to my mom's chagrin). The squid I designed myself. It's sort of in profile, b/c at the time I knew squids had big eyes, but never made the second one. ;)

I really am going to try to write tonight... R&B6 needs to be started!

Your grandmother was a dirty, dirty woman. :)

And yay for R&B!

My grandmother was definitely not a woman to stand on ceremony, and she had a good sense of humor -- as you can see.

Now the sex is done (for the moment) I can get back to the story. ;)

Also, I made one of the soot sprites, or soot gremlins, from the Miyazaki movies. This one's mine!

The blade told me my latest needed work, so a week later I have finally decided to tackle it. Halfway through I have discovered that indeed it does suck.

Why because this is the Author's Hangout, and no matter how much you pretend, you don't belong here.

OMG I read it as ARTHURS HANGOUT! I've spent 4 years wondering who Arthur is.

This is no bullshit. I'm blind in one eye and its my good eye!

On the other hand I think you have control issues, and professionally speaking I just naturally wonder howcome you wanna roost on my rail seeing how you dont like my company. You have a serious ambivalence problem, Old Pilot.

to stop doing so many rewrites for the same story and just stick to a plot... oh and to be happy with what I've written

900 words on R&B6. It's a start. And now for another soot gremlin... it is hard to crochet with black yarn.

I been playing with a story idea for awhile and waiting for my muse to toss two hooks into my lap. The working title of the tale is NIGYSOB or NOW I GOT YOU, SON OF A BITCH. But I'll likely title it DEATH PANEL as the story is about community based death panels.

NIGYSOB is a Transactional Analysis head game. Player #1 puts a chip on his shoulder tempting Player #2 to knock it off, if Player #2 takes the bait Player #1 gives a guilt free murder or asskicking to Player #2.

Its a simple and effective plot.

I needed a stunning provocation and resolution. Now I have both.

While my grandmother had her moments, she definitely never would have come up with potholders like those. ;)

"Now the sex is done (for the moment)?" God, that sounds like my life.

Exhibitions 3 is coming along quite nicely, but if I don't tie up some plot threads soon, I'll end up taking another six months to write chapter four.

Oh, and welcome to Post 200!

Of course you never get beyond the "playing with a story idea" phase, do you? :D

My lips are sealed, its a murder mystery. But youll never read it here cuz it includes underage sex, the villain likes teenage boys.

I'll see that and raise you. I'll be happy to edit that one for you. Well, if it ever exists.

Pushing to finish a review of a Shabbu novel and getting it off to my coauthor.

And wanting to watch some tennis at the U.S. Open, but it looks like a second day of no tennis. I went through this live at the beginning of the month at the Legg-Mason tournament, where forty-five minutes of court drying was followed by fifteen minutes of rain--throughout the day.

Phew. I finally sent a chapter off to be edited yesterday, and I got a RL proposal out the door earlier this week. It's nice to not have anything hanging over my head!

For today: do some beta reading and begin work on a Halloween story. I'm a bit nervous; I think I'll branch out of romance.

So, I need another Walmart trip b/c I forgot something yesterday. And darn them for not carrying the safety eyes I need for my crochet critters. JoAnn's Fabric wanted $1.99 for eight little eyes. Sigh. the price of crafting. Need some fabric glue, too.

Did my beta reading. ;) Well, a first read anyway. More comments, etc., to be added after some pondering.

I've tried branching out of romance but it never seems to quite work for me. I should try again, I guess.

And, more on topic, will try to add more to R&B6 later; time for the big show...

Yes, your nonhuman stuff is terrible.
Especially that light and the darkness story, which certainly was not one of the best nonhuman stories I've read here. Terrible, terrible, terrible.:p

Today is the start of something I should have already done (and that those who have detailed charts have already done), my next mystery in a mainstream series returns to the setting and characters of a couple of books back in the series. So, now I have to sit down with four earlier books in the series and chart out the characters and settings and earlier plotlines I have so that the next mystery in this series can use them properly and fit into the progression.

Oh, relax. ;) You just know I'm always saying "there are people that say/do/act like that?!?!?"

Yeah, I know. Don't know why I bother with those. Obviously I should stick with the hockey. hehehehe I did like that one, myself.

The fun part about the latest hockey story is that of course I know a reasonable amount about hockey, but I know very little about the music biz in terms of a rising band, so I'm learning a lot there.

I'm a lifelong horror fan and have studied the occult for years, yet have no desire to do a Halloween story.

I did one last year (not a contest entry I didn't feel like getting flamed for no reason) and for the hell of it I had the celebration of Samhain performed by a high priestess from the Satanic church, completely inaccurate on purpose to see how many would catch it.

I received many comments about how realistic it is and I must have some experience-shows what most people think they know- finally I was redeemed by one "white witch" who took me to task.
