Writing Goal for the Day?

Finished R&B7, I think -- wrote in the car! Or finished the first draft. Practically a record for me, doing that in two or three days. Wa hoo! On to 8, I suppose. Maybe I can even start posting soon... hmmmm.

I started the prologue of a steampunk novel and completed it before I just wound up laying the project down for the last month or so. I know I can't hit a professional 2000 quality words a day, but I aim to hit at least a quality page break a day, the length being determined by the pacing.

he probably wasn't my target audience.

Tat, I borrowed your hubby's comment to respond to a commenter. And I did something that I've never done before--deleted a comment. It just bugged me.

I also sequestered the cat in the office last night so that I could get some much needed, uninterrupted sleep.

As for a writing goal, I'd like to finish the chapter I'm working on. I'll probably make strides in that direction, but not get there.

We've had wonderful weather this weekend, so I spent some time in the back yard yesterday, working on a different goal--trying to get the verge under control. Got the bougainvillea trimmed and tied down. With the dry, hot weather, that thing is crazy with color. Now I need to do the same thing with the Climbing Pinkie.

Need to reorganize/restructure R&B6, but that shouldn't be too bad. Then I can fix up R&B7 and figure out what will happen next. And somewhere in there I guess I'll have to find a title.

I shudder to think about going back through this thread to see how many times my goal was to finish my next Holly chapter but at least it's finally done and in the queue.
Now to get in one more chapter of The Deal before NaNoWriMo.....

Good luck and happy writing to everyone else!

Good for you! I'm debating NaNoWriMo. I'll probably try it. It gave me a great start on The Hunted Key, but last year I didn't do much. Maybe I'll try again this year.

Finished another entry for the Halloween contest. Interracial Love.

Cool.

Done! I just wanted to write something today since I haven't been feeling like it lately.

Good for you, too. :) I was too wiped out to write last night. I sat there for a while looking at the previous chapter and debated the next but I was just way too tired. Try again today.

Ooo, NaNoWriMo. I might give it a run this year since I know I can buckle down and write. Proof to myself was the poetry writing challenge for 30 consecutive days last month.

Ooh, congrats to everyone getting things done with the writing. The light at the end of the tunnel for Exhibitions 3 is getting brighter, which is a very good thing since I'm going to have to put the figurative pen down for a bit in order to memorize my lines shortly here.

On the other hand, my little travel notebook is filling up with ideas. Too bad they can't pop out of that notebook, fully written....

Looking forward to the latest Holly story, litfan!

Today is reviewing a Halloween contest story, reviewing a chapter of a mainstream publisher edit, reviewing the last half of an edit of a novella for Sabb, and packing up for two weeks on top of a mountain--where I hope the Internet connection will hold, or else I'll have to spend a lot of time in area wineries using their connections.

We'll be off to the in-laws in the Shenandoah Valley this weekend (60th Anniversary for the hub's parents). Always an experience with limited access, although we'll be at my SIL's, and she does have wireless. My in-laws don't even have a computer. :)

So I'll try to see what I can get done on R&B8. I'm sure the end of the story is nearing, just not sure if this will run 9 or 10 (maybe more?) sections. Well, never know until it's done.

I'll be on top of Blue Mountain (Linden), so I might be looking down on you. Was on top of the Blue Ridge at Wintergreen the weekend before last. Skipping along the top of Virginia mountains (although I was at the beach last week).

Mostly I go between the Shenandoah Valley with its Blue Ridge mountains, and the Poconos (near where I live) and the flatness of South Jersey. :)

Not much motivation for the last several days. Today I combed nameberry for name ideas, and replaced a number of XX's and XY's with names in a few of my more promising stories-in-progress. I find the site strangely addicting (addictive?).

Now back to watching Tigers-Yankees, and counting down the final days until hockey begins. :)

I'm thinking a winery tour might be in order here, too. Maybe bring some friends and let someone else drive so I can take notes on ideas in the back seat.

Hmm, that nameberry looks like it could be trouble for me, LFT. ;)

I just got an idea for a Halloween, or at least Erotic Horror story. Man, like I have time for that!

Any winery out of town will be good this week. The Donald is opening his winery near where we live and I want to be anywhere but there.

Grrr. Couldn't get rid of the plot bunny, so started writing it down. Grrrr. So there's that, R&B8 and man, am I tired.

So my aim today is to finish off my second story (for here on Literotica) and try and find an editor willing to read it and provide feedback before submission - nervous times ahead.
