Writing a heavily plot driven NTR story

I'm someone who believes NTR stories are way better and spicier when there’s a solid story and some real buildup to it. I’ve got a few favorite here that do this so well, and they kinda inspired me to try writing one myself. Also honestly, part of the reason why I’m doing this is cause i feel like there aren’t enough stories like that around here. Most of the time, you get a weak main character who get cucked by his bully or some random dude just a page or two in. Don’t get me wrong, those quick stories are really good sometimes, but I’m kinda tired of seeing so many of them. I want more stuff with a good plot included.

I’ve got a storyline I’m working on and I’m happy to share it if anyone’s curious. Also, I’d love to hear any ideas or tips you guys have to make it better.

I agree. I'm waiting to read it as a story. I'm publishing the beginning of a new series next week with this very theme: a young man falls in love with a woman who is hypersexual. Tears and a lot of talking before love wins. The feedback is just so contradictory on these stories that it's often horrible to read the feedback.

I definitely agree! Imo the cheating is so much more erotic when you really get to see the buildup and watch the barriers coming down.

Perfectly valid reason to want to write. It's why I started writing here, too.

I'd love to here your ideas. This is right up my alley, so I'm more than happy to help. For tips, just make sure you're aware that theyre will always be people sensitive to this type of story that will downvote your works and/or leave negative comments. Especially in the Loving Wives category. I'm not saying that to dismay you - the opposite, in fact, is true. Don't let perceived negativity get to you and get in the way of you telling the story you want to tell.

NTR indeed stands for Netorare which is a japanese word that's derived from taken/stolen.
Easy explanation is it's japanese for cuckold, however that's not completely correct, cuckold is devided in subcategories in the japanese terms, Netorare (NTR) being one of them.
I'm sure there are more, but the three big ones are:
Netorare (NTR): Wife/girlfriend gets fucked/taken by someone else against the MC's wishes. (Stolen)
Netorase: Wife/girlfriend gets fucked/taken on request/according to the wishes of the MC. (Given)
Netori: MC steals someone elses Girlfriend/Wife. (Stolen by the MC)

The terms became more well known and popular because the popularity of Hentai took of some time ago. And since these terms are pretty specific they sort of stuck around. I think the subgenres have their uses.

Netorare and Netori seem the same, just from a different perspective, but it can be a completely different experience for the reader, who mostly identifies with the MC. The genres are more popular with hentai/animated porn, Doujin (comicbook porn) and porn games.

Personally I love the Netorase genre, especially when the MC isn't a emasculated mess. I love stories/games about confident men who like to share their woman/women or stories about confident women who like to share their man/men.

Usually when I see stories where the man isn't a emasculated mess it's actually Netorase (often mislabeled as Netorare)

There's a few things I'd like to see in NTR type stories but feel like I never do:

a) A more fleshed out relationship between the main cuckold and his gf / wife. As you alluded to, this genre is often very rushed. It opens with something like "my wife and I have been happily married and in love for X years" and then within two paragraphs or so she's fucking his worst enemy and saying vicious things to him and plotting to ruin his life. Always makes you wonder why are these two even together, if she has such contempt and hatred for him? Showing a believable loving relationship with a wife who genuinely cares about her husband makes it that much more devastating when she ends up turning on him. Which leads to my next point.

b) A more proactive role in the story for the woman. The women in these stories almost never get to do anything. There's an impossibly passive cuckold through whose eyes we see the story, an impossibly cruel or dominant alpha male type, and then there's the wife, who is usually very sweet and loving and innocent until she gets one look at the bully's cock and suddenly her brain turns to mush and she just becomes his sex toy. But what's going on in her head? What are her thoughts and emotions? Does she feel guilty at first? Conflicted? Remorseful? Proud? These women are too often just flat caricatures, and it's a shame, since in a lot of ways she should be the most interesting character.

c) False hope. Usually the cuckolds in these stories just take loss after loss after loss, it's an unending parade of humiliation for them, but that can end up feeling kind of flat and stale. I think it's more powerful when he gets an occasional small victory. Maybe he's able to convince his wife to temporarily stop her cheating? Maybe he gets one over on the bully in some way. Making it look like he might actually get a happy ending makes it all the more devastating when it's cut out from under him at the end.

I guess I kind of rambled here. Just some personal preferences of mine, to be used or discarded however you see fit. I find this genre very interesting and as you can see have plenty of opinions, but as you can imagine it's not really something I can talk about with too many people lol.

The thing I've always enjoyed about reading an NTR story vs most western unwilling cuckold story is that the marriage already seems doomed in the first place. It could be dying a slow whimpering death, they might be at each others throats at all times, the husband could've lied about who he was before the marriage in some fashion, the husband could be abusive in some way, the husband might be cheating on her already, or it could be an arranged marriage where the spark never ignited. Although in that last scenario the husband is often also already cheating. Heck husband already cheating is oftentimes woven into the others.

Anyways, all love is already lost, so bring on the thing that will compel them to do something about it one way or the other is a good story line in my opinion.
