Hello Again Everyone!

I am making a set of magnetic poetry to give my co-workers for Christmas. I write for a small independent monthly magazine and have decided to do a whole set of words about writer's block. I have it about half done, but that means I still need about 120 words. I guess I have writer's block about writer's block! Any suggestions?

Some words I've already used:
last
pain
head
hair
fact
body
grow
edit
remember
deadline
heartbeat
celebrate
confident
fantastic
struggling
afternoon
frightened
surrender
frustration
guideline

Thanks for any ideas you might have!

Wall
Barrier
sleepless
restless
dead ends
trite
cliche
overused
wordless
aggravated
depressed
hopeless
fatigued

time
destruction
procrastination
failure
doom
hope
pointless
tripe
scraps
loss

and my favorite descriptive of writer's block:

#$%* *@!@ing #%!#!!!!

here are a few i think of when im blocked, which, believe me, is quite often at the moment.

remiss
obstruction
stonewall
endurance
assume
bang out
scrawl
clear
erase

but the best one i think is from LC... those characters replace quite a few swears for sure!

best of luck,
v~

Thanks LC and Vella! Yeah, those characters are great! I'm getting so close to finishing this project.

These words are really great. It's funny... the word "surrender" has been mentioned and it's one that I had already used. What about writer's block makes us think about surrender.

Maybe surrendering your previously conceived notion about what you're writing and be willing to go another way with it?

Maybe surrendering to the fact that you're not going to meet your deadline.

Maybe mental surrender to allow the block to disolve and the words to flow again.

I don't know. None of those seem exactly right! Anyway thanks for the words. If you'd like I could post the whole list when I'm done!

The one word that is always circling my head in such situations that I don't see on here:

Why?
