Some peatiness is nice, though I prefer a Talisker or Lagavulin to Laphroaig, but too much is like slurping crude oil - that Bruichladdich Octomore with 128.9ppm of phenol is just the 'I'm so tough, I can eat a desi vindaloo' of whisky.
