Not fond of ranch either, actually. The avocado thing though, blah! Probably doesn't help I'm mildly allergic
Sounds like a learned aversion. Me, I stopped liking peanuts after I developed a peanut allergy. My roommate on the other hand craves them more after she developed an allergy.

Same with the Borg in Star Trek. They went from an enemy that could not be reasoned with to a nerfed group that lost any kind of scariness or mystery.
I think it might have happened the first time someone got rescued from the Borg after being assimilated. If you can rescue people from them, maybe they're not as powerful and scary as they seem to be.

It's like broccoli. There is a specific gene that means you can taste an enzyme (? or protein -- help @EmilyMiller) that others can't. My SO tastes the soap, I don't.
Not a protein, which enzymes are a type of; the offending substances are much simpler: aldehydes. The gene variation seems to change which ones you can and cannot taste, but the details aren’t fully researched AFAIK.

Edit: To be clear, I was talking about the cilantro gene. Emily is probably right about the broccoli stuff below.

It’s the PAV variant of the TAS2R38 gene, which makes someone hypersensitive to glucosinolates and isothiocyanates (the bitter compounds in broccoli - and other vegetables).

Not really my area, TBH.

The gene encodes Taste Receptor 2 Member 38, a GPCR also involved in signal transduction.

If you’re not wet / hard (delete as applicable) after that, you might need to check into a morgue 🤣.

You see, it's going to be about 2 scientists in a lab experimenting with/ on all that witchcraft mumbo jumbo you were saying and accidentally creating a broc/cilantro horny monster that wreaks havoc. Brilliant right?

Don't steal my idea. It'll be a huge lawsuit. Could even bring down LitE. You've been warned 🧐.

My legal team will contact your legal team.

Coke is over rated. Pepsi is better. Although compared to less known brands they both suck.
After working at Pizza Hut for as long as I did, I gotta disagree. Coke is crisp and sharp, while Pepsi seems sweeter, and taste flat.
