The best dressing is two parts extra virgin olive oil, one part balsamic vinegar, shake well. Not fond of ranch either, actually. The avocado thing though, blah! Probably doesn't help I'm mildly allergic
Cilantro belongs in a dish soap, not food.
The first time my dad showed me white chocolate, my first reaction was "Looks like soap."Cilantro belongs in a dish soap, not food.
We write differently than we speak. If you've written a first person character with great spoken grammar, why would it be an issue?
Sounds like a learned aversion. Me, I stopped liking peanuts after I developed a peanut allergy. My roommate on the other hand craves them more after she developed an allergy. Not fond of ranch either, actually. The avocado thing though, blah! Probably doesn't help I'm mildly allergic
I think it might have happened the first time someone got rescued from the Borg after being assimilated. If you can rescue people from them, maybe they're not as powerful and scary as they seem to be.Same with the Borg in Star Trek. They went from an enemy that could not be reasoned with to a nerfed group that lost any kind of scariness or mystery.
Wife the same with wheat. Gluten allergy, so now she gets cravings for things she can't have without becoming very ill.Sounds like a learned aversion. Me, I stopped liking peanuts after I developed a peanut allergy. My roommate on the other hand craves them more after she developed an allergy.

I think it's genetic. For some the flavor is unpleasant. I love it.My wife loves cilantro, I can live without it, but I don't hate it. Lots of people say that though, the dish soap thing.
It's like broccoli. There is a specific gene that means you can taste an enzyme (? or protein -- help @EmilyMiller) that others can't. My SO tastes the soap, I don't.I think it's genetic. For some the flavor is unpleasant. I love it.
Not a protein, which enzymes are a type of; the offending substances are much simpler: aldehydes. The gene variation seems to change which ones you can and cannot taste, but the details aren’t fully researched AFAIK.It's like broccoli. It’s the PAV variant of the TAS2R38 gene, which makes someone hypersensitive to glucosinolates and isothiocyanates (the bitter compounds in broccoli - and other vegetables). It's like broccoli. If you’re not wet / hard (delete as applicable) after that, you might need to check into a morgueIt’s the PAV variant of the TAS2R38 gene, which makes someone hypersensitive to glucosinolates and isothiocyanates (the bitter compounds in broccoli - and other vegetables).
Not really my area, TBH.
The gene encodes Taste Receptor 2 Member 38, a GPCR also involved in signal transduction.
Are you kidding?! That post just inspired a whole new erotic novel for me! I'm 35 pages in alreadyIf you’re not wet / hard (delete as applicable) after that, you might need to check into a morgue.
You see, it's going to be about 2 scientists in a lab experimenting with/ on all that witchcraft mumbo jumbo you were saying and accidentally creating a broc/cilantro horny monster that wreaks havoc. Brilliant right? If you’re not wet / hard (delete as applicable) after that, you might need to check into a morgue.

After working at Pizza Hut for as long as I did, I gotta disagree. Coke is crisp and sharp, while Pepsi seems sweeter, and taste flat.Coke is over rated. Pepsi is better. Although compared to less known brands they both suck.
