would you cheat for $1,000?

I had a friend today who was asked by one of the wealthier kids in school if she would write a 45 page paper for him for $1,000. In her case, it would take care of her bills for about a month and a half (and the stress of wondering how she was going to make that money).

She declined saying "she couldn't live with herself if she accepted."

So, would you have taken the money, knowing no one would ever find out?

I've written papers for others before. But never for money. I can't say for sure I would decline somehting like that and I can't say I wouldn't either. Hasn't ever happened.

I did that in High School and made about $40 bucks a pop. I feel bad for it now, though because most of the people I helped cheat are underpaid, hard labor workers.

In a moments notice. Hell a grand? I wrote papers for far less than that, and guaranteed at least a b plus or money back. Half up front, 25% at completion, the rest upon grading.

I never had to refund a dime...

Did they approach you, or did you approach them?

If they really wanted to make something of thier lives, they could have done so without cheating, imho.


I've never done someone's work for them, but if I were dead ass broke, I'd be sorely tempted, though I can't say for certain if I would accept or decline.

I would do it. I'd view it as I would any other freelance writing assignment. I'd want more than $1,000 for a 45 page paper, though. It's really labor intensive to produce consistent quality over that many pages, and my time is worth a lot more than the average of 20 bucks I would get for each page (if you average it all out). Especially once you factor in proofs and rewrites.

I do miss writing papers, though. I need to fucking get back to school.

Depends on how 'hard' the paper would be for me to write. Back in high school, I wouldn't have. Early college, I might have. Now that I have wife, kids and don't make nearly as much as I would like, I prolly would.

But I'd want at least $30 per page if I knew the subject and $50 if I had to research it. Plus I would write a really bad paper if I didn't like the kid.
