Seriously...haven't you all asked yourself that question? Is that one of the reasons that you keep posting - cause you are afraid that noone will even care?

I am positive that a couple of people might notice for a brief millisecond in time that I wasn't posting...but would they care? I doubt it. I am not being "poor ole me" and asking for validation...I am just being realistic.

I am sure that we would all notice if Laurel left...but anyone else? c'mon...would we care? How long would we care?

There are people who have left here who I still miss. Recently others have come back that I'm very glad to see, mainly Texan and Expertise.

I do miss some of the posters. Hell, I miss some posters who are just gone for a few days. That's because people become an integral part of your internet community, even if you don't speak with them off of the boards.

There are some I wouldn't miss at all, but the few that I would miss greatly.

This ties in nicely with the thread asking whether any would notice if a member died and would anyone know.

I think I and several others here might slide slowly off this mortal coil without leaving so much as a ripple.

Conversely there are those, such as KM,Marxist, Dillinger, Lavender,WD, the enraging pp_man, Freakygurl32, Rubyfruit and several others that would be posted missing within days.

Its all a matter of how high above the parapets you raise your profile.

Probably you would be missed Cath. But newbies aren't missed unless they stay here long enough and post enough good shit to draw peoples attention.

Your posts I like to read, but there are others that couldn't care less about. I have a short attention span. if the post is too long, or if the person trys to impress everyone with his or her worldly knowledge, I skim through it and move on.

There are too many people here, and too many nebies joining all the time, for anyone's departure to really be felt, I think. I left for a few months, and I don't think anyone noticed. When I came back it was as if I'd never gone. Which was kind of nice.

Honestly, you could post a thread titled' "Oop's I just stepped in crap...", (not that you ever would), and I'd come check it out because it probably has good content. Everone talks about us 'newbies' and I realize there are alot of us. But pleeeaaase don't allow that to run the rest of you off! Where would I go to such good fights?
