Hey there,

This Q goes to all the gym and weightlifting studs! Hahah

Is it true you only have 30 minutes to have a meal after working out or else all the weight lifting and working out you did goes all to waste?

If that's true that means I have to prepare a meal BEFORE I even start working out then re-heat when I'm done? :(

I usually eat an hour or 2 after I work out.

I've not cramped or drowned yet.

Have you tried really heavy table service? Just trying to save you some time.

Hmmm

Thanks all for the replies, but I mean in order to really build muscles and gaining weight, not just working out to stay fit or lose weight.

My goal is to buff up, im really skinny like 110LBS = 50 KG...so...

If you're serious there are pharma solutions available if shrinkage is not a concern.

Oh No!!!

Hey hey hey! NO I AM NOT LOOKING TO GET SUPER BUFF!

I hate those guys, and no I am not looking to have an protein shakes or pills or any of that!

I am 6,0 around 185cm's tall so that's bad! My natural weight should be around 80 KG's so I am WAY underweight!

I just wanna be fit, you know...fill in a Small t-shirt size nicely... :)

My eldest is 184cm, and used to weigh just 52kg's.
He's been going to the gym and cross-training with 3 weight sessions a week for about 5 months.
He's filled out nicely now and his weight is up to 75kg.
He has a mass-builder protein shake about 1/2 an hour after his gym session, as well as his regular meals (high protein, high vegetable, low carb).
We also have a rowing machine at home, which he uses on the highest resistance setting for about 15 mins a day on the days he doesn't go to the gym.

make sure you spit after your bf blows his load. semen is just empty calories

Eat high calorie good foods. Nuts, PEANUT BUTTER!, avocado, dried fruits, meats and dairy. You have to be taking in more calories than you are exerting to gain weight. Are you doing too much cardio?

I have no science to back this up, but have heard it from people who I think have done their homework on the science of it.

You should try to eat within an hour of finishing your workout so your body can absorb more of the nutrients from the food. It makes sense when you think about evolution since our ancestors hunted by running, and probably cooked & ate whatever they caught within an hour.

Except the food sits in your stomach for 3 or 4 hours before it moves to the intestines, where the nutrients are absorbed.

And for building mass, it doesn't matter when you eat. To build mass you do few reps of heavy weights so as to tear the muscle tissue. When the tissue repairs itself, mass is created. The rebuilding takes place over a period of time way outside the time for metabolizing food.

You are fighting genetics. Every body type and size has a limit to how large a muscle can grow. When you find yourself unable to increase the weights on a particular exercise for about 8 weeks, you have maxed out.

This is when idiots turn to steroids. Just remember this, anyone who tells you steroids and hormones are a good idea, has been on them way too long.

it's all about your metabolic rate, so think more like all you're doing is training your body to work at a higher lvl.

bottom line, muhammad ali said he only started counting reps when he hurt. eat lots of veggies, fruits, -- consume healthy proteins. carbs aren't bad except that a lot of diets today are based on corn sugar and sodium, and that's going to treat your carb intake differently.

no, you just drink a protein shake afterwards

Actually as a general guideline, you'll want to consume a high quality protein 30-60 minutes after finishing your workout—whey being one of the most ideal for this purpose, as it helps your body build muscle and lose fat simultaneously.
