a few weeks ago, i got my first story published on lit (you can find it through the link to my homepage in my profile). as i've mentioned in the past, i've been married for several years. last week, iwas recounting to her a conversation i had w/ a friend of mine. i told him i got that story published, and his response was "that's cool, but i don't think i need to read erotica written by someone i know".

my wife raised an eyebrow, and said, "you did what?"

for about five full seconds, i think i gave her the "deer in headlights" look, and said, "er...did i not tell you about that?"

"no. no you didn't."

"um...oops?"

the following day, i rec'd a bit of feedback through the mail address i use here. it was quite positive, but one little line in it caught my attention.

"i look forward to reading future installments. perhaps next time, you'll share it w/ more than just a few readers on this site."

all ended well, however: she really liked it. :D

moral of this story: full disclosure is a good (and fun!) policy.

Perhaps you could write one that is just for her.

Great idea....This is a fantastic idea *wonders why i didn't think of this myself while grabbing pencil and paper to start jotting down ideas*
I have done this before and it worked out well. :D

That's so sweet! When I told my husband that I had a story posted at Lit, he was monumentally unimpressed. He still hasn't read it.
