The contrast of skin color sends chills
Can we kiss colour blind, though some require
Lips to hark back to mouths, discriminating
Indifferently until, quite used to aching,
The sobered heart reserves its pent-up ire;

Lost kisses undermine; love pecks avert,
So can't construct a timid lover's burn;
If gentle ease, then passion, in their turn,
Seek closeness, they leave tendencies to wreck;

Engulfed in isolation, we disguise
Decorum with a truculent disgust;
We loathe all consequence, because we must
Divert sweet need, which harmful ire denies:

Let's relish hope instead; let's be inclined
To treasure how we kiss, so colour blind...
