I was thinking today I've never written a story about an older woman in her 50s. I'm working on it. She's single, well, divorced, and decides to be a cougar and have fun with younger men. I kinda imagined myself at 55. What I'd look like, hopefully. LOL She's mostly going to hook up with guys in their late 20s and early 30s and one special guy who is 18 and a virgin.

Anyway, if you're in your 20s, does women in their 50s turn you on? I'm not talking porn girls with fake tits in their 50s or women with tons of plastic surgery, but real unenhanced (LOL) women in their 50s. And, why do they turn you on?

Yes, definitely.

And, why do they turn you on?

That's a hard question.

But for starters, they're very pleasant to look at. Everything from the wrinkles to sun spots.

Class is another big thing. Older women are classy and elegant, which I find very attractive.

I have never been a cougar hunter. I've dated women who were twice my age and, before I met my wife five years ago, half my age (or thereabouts). But I've known guys who lust after older women as if they were the be all and end all of feminine sexuality.

From talking with them, my take is that they find older women (and by older, I mean women at least 40+ with the only disqualification being over 60 unless they were in fabulous shape) to be mature, honest, direct, dominant and, most importantly, sexually confident. They are women who know what they want. They know not only how to fuck, how to get men off (and had learned that not every man in the world reacts the same way to the same sexual tricks), but, most importantly, they know how they want to be fucked. And they are not the least bit shy about expressing it, as opposed to the giggling college girls who may act tough and controlling, but really don't have a clue about sex.

Mature women who date younger men do so in the capacity of the classic reversal of fortune. They are the hunters, and their lovers are the prey. They call the shots. They use their experience and age to their advantage, but it works best when they have made the effort to keep themselves in shape. Because, when it comes down to it, the cougar scenario plays out best when the young man looks back and thinks, she was hot, she was experienced, she was fucking unbelievable in bed, and for her age she looked damned good!

I read a news article the other day that mentioned the age women feel the most comfortable with their bodies and do not have 'bikini anxiety' when wearing skimpy swimsuits is in the mid-50's. Although it stated many younger women wear them, they do not feel comfortable about it and think they reveal some defects and such, but older women are the most comfortable with their bodies.

Doesn't help your story much, but it may add a new twist...maybe the woman finally deciding to wear that skimpy two-piece she's always thought about...

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I've read women in their 50s are secure in themselves and who they are so they just enjoy life rather than work hard trying to enjoy it. My mom is 56 and she's that way. I've slept with women in their 40s but only one in their 50s. She was va-va-voom great at it. She didn't care about "impressing" people, was classy and confident just like mom is.

My mom is gorgeous, classy, and has the body of Kate Upton. Mom is 40ddd though. I'm 34 large a cup. LOL WHERE THE FUCK DID MY BOOBIES GO! LOL No, boobs in my mom's family skip around. Her mom was flat like me. haha

I do know some men that are in their late 20s and won't date anyone but cougars 40s-up. And, they despise women in their 20s. "Like teen girls, they are shallow bitches with no confidence about who they are," one told me about 20s girls. lol

"If you really think about it, pussy doesn't get old. It changes with kids, but the clit is always gonna be fun to play with," mom said. LOL

Im 43 male and my woman is 59...Love it..If she was 65 it would be hotter...Older woman only"""

Yes to older women. An older "well preserved" woman is a woman who has taken good care of herself for many years, and that is inherently attractive. Let's face it, it is hard not be hot when you're 18. If you have maintained yourself for 40+ more years, you are something special.

Speaking as a "mature" woman (52), I'd say your cougar-scenario-plays-out-best theory holds only half of the equation. Having the younger dude look back and think, "... she was hot, she was experienced, she was fucking unbelievable in bed, and for her age she looked damned good!" is all well and good... for the man. The mature woman may have no idea what he thinks... you know? Not ALL mature women who date, or sleep with, younger men are predators after prey. There's way more to it than that for some of us.
I've had a brief fling with a much younger man once... nobody sought it out, I certainly wasn't "hunting" for a young buck... it just happened because we couldn't deny the "click" or the mutual attraction, the giant "like factor", if you will that spilled out of our platonic friendship Of course it didn't last long—it was impossible... the age difference. My best-case "cougar" scenario? We both look back and think, "Holy fuck... that was pretty sweet, especially the sex." It's not always about the dude, dude. ;)
And, just so you all are clear, I'm not looking for younger men... I'm not seeking younger men out for dick, or anything like that. You know? For me, it pretty much depends on the man, period.
Also, full disclosure here: I am not an author of any erotic stories... but I am in my 50s...

Is your story to be more about the woman or the younger men, I wonder?

BTW, guys... personally, I hate the term "well preserved". It makes me feel like a old jar of peaches in the back of my grandmother's pantry. ;)

Totally cool. Thank you so much. No, the story is definitely about the woman, and how, no matter what, a woman is always a woman. I pretty much made her me in 30 years. What would I want if I just got dumped by a husband maybe and thought, fuck, I've gotten BORING being married. Let's have fun.

My post was in regards to writing a story of that nature. Unfortunately, realism and fantasy don't always coincide.

I think one of the best examples of older woman/younger man relationships was displayed in the movie White Castle. It featured a twenty-something man and a forty-something woman. There was no hunting involved, no seduction. In fact, the two characters started off at odds but could not deny their attraction to one another.

Given that, however, for the readership of Lit, May/December stories between an older woman and a younger man are expected to follow certain conventions. That's not to say they have to, but if a writer strays from the convention of the uncommonly sexy and in-shape older woman, they will hear about it from the readers.

It's up to the author to play it safe or take a chance. Personally, I prefer stories about imperfect people. But they are rare.

In your defense, (and mine)... I actually forgot to add something like this to my first post: "I'm guessing your cougar theory is literarily born, and not reality born." I may have been a little distracted thinking about my May/December story.
;) I'm pretty sure, though, this was more the scenario: I had the sudden urge to pee, so I just posted the sucker asap and took care of my ... business ;).
I get that writers on Lit want members to read their work. I get the readership has expectations, and they will make nasty comments on your story page when they aren't met. Opinions and assholes... just saying. I'm cautioning against allowing that readership to constantly wag your literary dog.
I'm not trying to dis anybody here, just so you know. :) Not accusing anyone of pandering to the audience. At this point, I'm just kind of babbling, anyway.

White Castle was an awesome movie. I knew guys in high school that wanted her. haha Quite a few high school guys also lusted after my mom so much I got sick of hearing it. I was pretty sure a boyfriend was only my boyfriend so he could come over and ogle mom in the pool when I was like 11/12.

Pfflyerhot, don't worry, I write for myself. I hope to be published in January. :)

Awesome! I figured you did I know when I write, I write for me. It's like a purge for me, like barfing, but in a good way.
Write on!

I'm a sex addict, surprise, surprise. My shrink said, "write sex stories rather than go doing it." Thank you!

Well... a deep subject...

Writing is cathartic, for me anyway. But also it is a way to revisit former experiences, further explore needs, desires and fantasies. Mine, or those of others.

I'm over 50... if you have questions, feel free to ask:)

I resemble these remarks. ;) Like Lovetolisten, I'm open to questions, whenever, if ever.

Hi Lauren, first I have to admit, my ideals are pretty tame compared to most on this site. However, for a twist on your ideal, how about a woman that goes out with the intention of hooking up with a younger man. But she gets hit on and finally picked up by a younger woman. Or a woman her age.

You might could even have her meeting a younger couple. Just a thought.

When I was a young man I had an affair with a significantly older woman. What attracted me most to her was her confidence and experience. She never hesitated to let me know what it was she wanted and she did things to me that I had never considered before.

But for starters, they're very pleasant to look at. Everything from the wrinkles to sun spots.

I think the challenge is making the menopausal MILF seem sexy, because unfortunately there's only so much confidence and character one can write about til they 'do the deed'.

I'm 43 and the young bucks are chatting me up because of the sex. The bucks are out cougar hunting. Besides the sex being better, they also like the no games and no drama. If a cougar wants him to do something, she tells him directly, no hinting or other crap. If a younger gal wants a booty call, she calls about 10-12, makes a cheesy excuse, then once there, kills another hour or 2. When a cougar wants a booty call, she's calling early and saying she wants a booty call, and giving definite start and stop times because she has a busy schedule and needs to get sleep before work in the morning

Very few of my stories feature characters who are perfect physical specimens, and for the most part they do OK. I have never received any comments complaining about the physical appearances of the women I describe.

I have two stories where the main characters are sexy women in their 60s. Desperate Measures: The Driver, and Modern Science. In both cases the women are fit, but not uncommonly so. They take care of their bodies, but they are not the type that could pass for a woman half their age.

I also skew older with the males. In one story the protagonist is in his mid 40s, and in the other he is in his late 30s. In both cases it worked better for the story, and seemed to be more realistic.

I have another story where the main character is a BBW in her late 50s. This one involved a college aged male. There was nothing romantic about this story, however. The Cunt of Monte Cristo.

Finally, I have a group sex story that involved two couples in their 40s, and two more in their 50s. Those women have all kinds of bodies, from small and slender to big, busty BBW. Desperate Measures: The Caterer.

I guess my point is that it is possible to successfully veer from the conventional portrayal of a May/December romance and not get flamed. I'm sure that many people like to read about characters with flawless bodies, but there are plenty of readers who don't mind characters that are colored with a realistic brush.

Desperate Measures was excellent. I'm reading the others. Damn, I'm horny. :) Thank you. xoxo

Not any more because i am advanced in age now, but when I was in my late teens and early twenties i was very attracted to teh IDEA of an older woman, though i was much too horney to attract one. My vision was one of an experienced woman who could teach me.

I have a current story about two gay males in their sixties. It was very difficult to get started. The attractions between people of that age are very different from younger people, but now it is well on its way, serialized and readers are loving it.

maybe I will try a story with an older woman as protagonist... hm... I think i have an idea. Older, but experienced only with one jerk. . .hmmm that could work.
