Hello to you all.

Suicide is a subject that I happen to agree with Boo about. I think it is a private matter between the person and their Creator. I can never know the pain, the mindset, of another person. So if this is the way that they deal with what they are going thru then so be it. It is them and I don't know everything about them. I don't live their life, so who am I to judge what is or isn't the right decision for them?

The people that really get my goat, are the ones who threaten to do it so that they get attention. Or the ones that "Attempt" so that they don't have to suffer the consequences of other actions that they have done.

Did this make sense?

Actor John Ritter dropped dead on the set while taping his lastest low-budget sit-com. An unnamed spokesman for the studio was quoted as saying, "I guess the stink of he performance was just too much for him."

In a related story, country singing great, Johnny Cash, died of complications caused by a horrible stench at the Warner Brothers Studios in Hollywood.

This has done nothing be add fire to the rumors that Johnny Cash and John Ritter were, in fact, the same person.

I think that Boo might be closer to the truth then we know.

I know for me, when things have gotten really bad, I think to something that my grandmother once told me. It was shortly after a long time family friend had committed suicide.

She said to me that it takes a stronger person to stay and work it out, then it does to end it all. For me, I choose to stay and work it out.

But for some people, I think that there is just nothing left for them to work with. Their hope, their love, their essence is just all used up. So, while it might not be my solution, I can understand how it could be the solution for some people.

OK!! Now that I got things a little stirred I have to say...

I think suicide is the wrong answer. But not for the most conventional reasons... like sin and heaven and hell and the law etc which I think is all bullshit.

I believe in Karma- I believe we choose our own path- be it in this life or the past, or the future. We determine by our own behavior what life will be like, and we reap both the good and bad benefits. So... if our life sucks, it's our own fault! And here we are in an intolerable position when even our best friends think we should leave... What a wonderful opportunity to work off some of the crap we've caused! Huh? Huh? LMAO

...I do agree tho- I think its seldom the easier of our choices... I have stepped to the edge... and backed up. And no- it wasn't with a sense of relief. It was with a stronger than ever sense of having failed once more... it would have been better to jump. But I didn't...

Boo, I won't give in and I don't give up. I think that is the major reason that I am the way that I am. I also think that it is the one thing that has kept me from ending it at least twice that I can think of.

Cosmic justice, and I had to have been Gengis Khan in a past life to be having to make up this much bad Karma. lol.

MIAMI (Sept. 12) - Telemarketers are now screening their calls, instead of the other way around.

The American Teleservices Association isn't laughing at Dave Barry, not after the Pulitzer Prize-winning humor columnist for The Miami Herald listed the group's telephone number in his Aug. 31 column and sparked a flood of phone calls to the group's offices.

Barry told his readers to call and ''tell them what you think.''

''I'm sure they'd love to hear your constitutionally protected views! Be sure to wipe your mouthpiece afterward,'' Barry wrote.

Thousands of Barry's readers have done as they were told, forcing the association to stop answering its phones. Callers now hear a recording, which says that because of ''overwhelming positive response to recent media events, we are unable to take your call at this time.''

''It's difficult not to see some malice in Mr. Barry's intent,'' said Tim Searcy, executive director of the ATA, who said the added calls will be costly to his group because of toll charges and staffing issues.

Barry hardly sounded apologetic.

''I feel just terrible, especially if they were eating or anything,'' he said. ''They have phones like the rest of us have phones. Their attitude seems to be if you have a phone, people are allowed to call you.''

ATA officials have said about 2 million of the 6.5 million people working at telemarketing call centers across the nation will lose their jobs because of the rules that established the nationwide ''Do Not Call'' list.

Barry also attacked that logic in the same column.

''Of course, you could use pretty much the same reasoning to argue that laws against mugging cause unemployment among muggers,'' he wrote. ''But that would be unfair. Muggers rarely intrude into your home.''

Barry's column is syndicated to about 500 newspapers across the country.
