Personally I thought season 2 was a hugeee letdown. They rushed it. Having played both The Last of Us games twice, I expected more emotional depth and narrative precision. The games BROKE me!!! 😭 Ellie’s character arc, ( which is super powerful in Part II when she spirals through grief and vengeance…I don’t want to write any spoilers here for readers who want to watch/play) felt shallow and rushed!!! And her line “I’m gonna be a dad” 🤣when she finds out Dina is pregnant?

In the game at least it’s subtle and intimate and realistic because she knows Dina is now a liability and a weakness. Season 1 worked because it respected the source material’s pacing and emotional gravity. This didn’t. 🙄 I have strong opinions on this particular subject 🤣🤣

I liked the first season a lot, it's really odd how they tried to soften and change all the things that made the game stand out (whether you liked it or not!)

I want to play the games now that they’re on PC but I don’t have the time to invest in games any more. LOVE the 1st season and I’m about to renew HBO so I just just watch it and only pay for one month (I alternate between streaming services as needed 😁)

Bill and Frank’s episode in season 1 😭😭 ( I love how they tied in the note that Frank had left) but built an entire sub story for those two for the series! it was veryyy emotional :(

But yeah…even Ellie and Dina’s first sex scene in the weed farm wasn’t the same in the series :( not that it matters THAT much but it still had an impact on those who played the games. And don’t get me started on Abby….

Let me know what you think if you ever do watch season 2!

The games are epic so it you ever somehow magic some spare time into your life I would highly recommend!

I’m more of a solely watch.ug girl ( best website for streaming anything and everything including new movies which don’t come out on shitty Cam quality), Disney +, Netflix and paramount. Sometimes sky have good movies too! But I don’t constantly pay for them all as I don’t have enough time to be watching things!

Will always make time for a good movie though.

That episode was amazing, really set the tone for something more intimate, more character driven. Such a rare risk for bigger shows...
