Really, I find that unimportant so long as I can import it into Word, or whatever premier editing software is available at the time.

yes this is a fucking great idea . i'm the same way . wouldn't it be awesome if it all came out sounding as sexy on paper as it does in our heads ? this is why i love tape recorders . you get some of that original authenticity .
