Winter Holiday Support Thread

I'm in. Wrote mine a couple months ago. Non-erotic ... and a sequel to last year's. That should just about do it for last place!

I've started my Holiday story already. It will be strictly fantasy smut, with no pretense of plot, characterization, suspense or anything else like that.

I will probably never enter NaNo. I don't think I could ever writre a 50,000 word story in a month.

Rumply- terribly sorry i didn't see your post before  Mrs Giggles review makes me giggle. I'm quite happy I over write, i think under writing might be significantly worse :)

Apple pies anyone? nice and cinnamony -might help with inspiration :D

one paragraph written!

Don't over-exert yourself, Vella. Pacing is very important. You might want to think about cutting back to a beer between every sentence. Oh yeah, don't forget some pretzels and peanuts with that beer. Your body will need to replace all the salt lost in your exertions. And while I'm handing out all this healthy advice, don't forget screwdrivers (the OJ and vodka type) and when you need a quick burst of energy, consider a Banana's Foster. OJ and bananas are high in potassium.

*panting heavily as another two paragraphs spring forth from my sweating hands*

you are completely correct, as usual.

I believe it is nearly time to inject something substantially nurturing...the screwdriver sounds awesome and it will help prevent scurvy!

SCURVY! You are so right, super-writer, Vella. Scruvy would be a real danger for hardy souls on the month-long, 50,000 word voyage aboard the good ship, NaNaNoPay.

And you have therefore justified my action in starting this thread.

Thank you.

I have part completed Chapter 3 to follow last year's entry and then there is the sequel to the 2003 entry...

are you kidding me!??! :)

I have a few ideas rolling around ... and a fantastic title but no story idea to accompany it as of yet...

November 10, you say???

What is that, 11 days?

<---going to wait until the Halloween sugar rush has crashed before I start writing...!

*sigh*

I just realised, I started one of these LAST Christmas.......I just found the bits I had written.........I may have to blow the dust off and give it a go.

No promises mind, but I DO have a lot more time on my hands now.

Maybe.
Just maybe.

Those of you who are doing this AND Nano are just... nuts.

Doing NaNo is qualification enough, or was it

just being in the AH?

oh quit bitchin and start writing already!
what would you do without me to put you on the straight and narrow?!

Vella,

I worry a bit about BT and Og. Don't you?

I considered signing up, for about three minutes, but Ill stick to kibitzing. I've always had three problems with the NaNo. I'm a slow writer, and have an aversion to self-inflicted pain.

My primary heartburn is the NaNo being in November. Thanksgiving is usually more than a one-day affair for me. This year, number one son, his main squeez and her mother will be here for a few days. If the NaNo were held in the dead of winter, then maybe.

I didn't know I could until I met you, and I have a lot of years to catch up.
