Wellllllll dearie.. I"m not sure if I'm bragging... complaining... or just making a comment... butttttttt.....

In the halloween contest... my story had over 150 votes in the first 48 hours... along with a few death threats in my mail box...

I think each of my last four stories had racked up over a hundred votes in the first two days... so for me 60 votes is very low.

I'm not complaining about my score which is respectable but no where near high enough to be a competitor for the top three places. What is incredible is that last time I checked, most of the stories had magic "H"'s ... It's quite unusual to have so many stories with such high scores!

Part of that is in the quality of the stories though.... I've read almost all of them... and have yet to run across one that made me say.. "yech.. what a horrible job" and far too many that seemed good enough to win!

It is a fun ride though.. and there isn't a story I'd be ashamed to lose to!

Except for the trolls which get removed, most all have been good but I have no where near the numbers they are talking about.

Hang in there, it took me a long time to build a fan base. Even now I don't always get the votes. Two days before the Halloween Contest ended I only had 23 votes. A friend of mine e-mailed a few friends so I could even qualify.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I'm really not bitching. My holiday story has more votes and PCs than either of my other stories... though I think Lesbian Sex is generally a more popular category than BDSM and Crossdressing.

Bitch away if you want...we've all been there. I will never figure the people who read the stories if I live to be a hundred.

I'm chomping at the bit to start my new story but it will have to wait until Monday. No time during the holidays.

I was feeling all hurt and sulky earlier today. Abs submitted her story a couple days ago at 11:00pm. By two the next morning it was posted.

So I submitted mine at about eleven last night. It's still not posted. Naturally I began wondering, how come her and not me? I mean, what does Abs have going for her that I don't, besides looks, smarts, talent, an intimidating personality, legions of loyal followers (such as me) who hand around her cafe, and a cigar?

Then I checked the NEW list. Nearly 90 stories were posted yesterday. If stories keep coming into Lit at that rate, I may not get mine up for days. Since that's not an uncommon problem at my age, I feel all better now, I think.

Lauren works like Viagra when it comes to getting my staff, I eman, stuff up. If I were trying to win, as opposed to just concocting a fun, stroke story, I suppose it would have been best to wait until after T-day to submit.

Anyway, enjoy the madhouse. There was a time when my mother's brother and sister and their families all met at our place. That worked out to about nine sleep-overs with another three to six local day-trippers in a three bedroom, ONE bath house. It was, indeed, a madhouse, but now I miss it.

I sent it in and it turned out to be 4 pages long! Just under 12,000 words of my heroine's exciting and erotic Christmas adventure! God, my head hurts...

It's almost 3:30 am now and my BF's giving me evil looks, so it's time for bed. God, I'm drained from this whole affair, and the trolls haven't even struck yet. It took over a week of blood, sweat and tears (among other fluids) to write this bad boy, but it was worth it.
